JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Paroles d'Amos, qui fut l'un des bergers de Teqoa. Ce qu'il vit sur Israël au temps d'Ozias, roi de Juda,et au temps de Jéroboam, fils de Joas, roi d'Israël, deux ans avant le tremblement de terre.	1 The words of Amos, who was among the herdman of Tekoa, which he saw concerning Israel in the days of Uzziah king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash king of Israel, two years before the earthquake.
2 Il dit: De Sion, Yahvé rugit, et de Jérusalem, il donne de la voix; les pacages des bergers sont en deuilet le sommet du Carmel se dessèche.	2 And he said, The LORD will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the habitations of the shepherds shall mourn, and the top of Carmel shall wither.
3 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Pour trois crimes de Damas et pour quatre, je l'ai décidé sans retour! Parce qu'ilsont foulé Galaad avec des traîneaux de fer,	3 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Damascus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have threshed Gilead with threshing instruments of iron:
4 j'enverrai le feu dans la maison d'Hazaël et il dévorera les palais de Ben-Hadad;	4 But I will send a fire into the house of Hazael, which shall devour the palaces of Ben-hadad.
5 je briserai le verrou de Damas, de Biqeat-Aven je supprimerai l'habitant, de Bet-Eden, celui qui tientle sceptre, et le peuple d'Aram sera déporté à Qir, dit Yahvé.	5 I will break also the bar of Damascus, and cut off the inhabitant from the plain of Aven, and him that holdeth the sceptre from the house of Eden: and the people of Syria shall go into captivity unto Kir, saith the LORD.
6 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Pour trois crimes de Gaza et pour quatre, je l'ai décidé sans retour! Parce qu'ils ontdéporté des populations entières pour les livrer à Edom,	6 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Gaza, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they carried away captive the whole captivity, to deliver them up to Edom:
7 j'enverrai le feu dans le rempart de Gaza et il dévorera ses palais;	7 But I will send a fire on the wall of Gaza, which shall devour the palaces thereof:
8 d'Ashdod je supprimerai l'habitant, et d'Ashqelôn, celui qui tient le sceptre; je tournerai ma maincontre Eqrôn et ce qui reste des Philistins périra, dit le Seigneur Yahvé.	8 And I will cut off the inhabitant from Ashdod, and him that holdeth the sceptre from Ashkelon, and I will turn mine hand against Ekron: and the remnant of the Philistines shall perish, saith the Lord GOD.
9 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Pour trois crimes de Tyr et pour quatre, je l'ai décidé sans retour! Parce qu'ils ontlivré à Edom des populations entières de captifs, sans se souvenir d'une alliance entre frères,	9 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Tyrus, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they delivered up the whole captivity to Edom, and remembered not the brotherly covenant:
10 j'enverrai le feu dans le rempart de Tyr et il dévorera ses palais.	10 But I will send a fire on the wall of Tyrus, which shall devour the palaces thereof.
11 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Pour trois crimes d'Edom et pour quatre, je l'ai décidé sans retour! Parce qu'il apoursuivi son frère avec l'épée, étouffant toute pitié, parce qu'il garde à jamais sa colère et conserve sans fin safureur,	11 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of Edom, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because he did pursue his brother with the sword, and did cast off all pity, and his anger did tear perpetually, and he kept his wrath for ever:
12 j'enverrai le feu dans Témân et il dévorera les palais de Boçra.	12 But I will send a fire upon Teman, which shall devour the palaces of Bozrah.
13 Ainsi parle Yahvé: Pour trois crimes des fils d'Ammon et pour quatre, je l'ai décidé sans retour!Parce qu'ils ont éventré les femmes enceintes du Galaad afin d'élargir leur territoire,	13 Thus saith the LORD; For three transgressions of the children of Ammon, and for four, I will not turn away the punishment thereof; because they have ripped up the women with child of Gilead, that they might enlarge their border:
14 je mettrai le feu au rempart de Rabba et il dévorera ses palais, dans la clameur, en un jour de bataille,dans la tempête, en un jour d'ouragan;	14 But I will kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah, and it shall devour the palaces thereof, with shouting in the day of battle, with a tempest in the day of the whirlwind:
15 et leur roi s'en ira en déportation, lui, et ses princes avec lui, dit Yahvé.	15 And their king shall go into captivity, he and his princes together, saith the LORD.
