JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 La douzième année, au douzième mois, le premier du mois, la parole de Yahvé me fut adressée ences termes:	1 In the twelfth year, on the first day of the twelfth month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to me asfol ows,
2 Fils d'homme, prononce une complainte sur Pharaon, roi d'Egypte. Tu lui diras: Lionceau desnations, te voilà anéanti! Tu étais comme un crocodile dans les mers, tu bondissais dans tes fleuves, tu troublaisl'eau avec tes pattes, tu en agitais les flots.	2 'Son of man, raise a lament for Pharaoh king of Egypt. Say to him: "Young lion of nations, you aredestroyed! Once you were like a crocodile in the lagoons; emerging from your rivers, you churned up the waterwith your trampling and fouled their streams.
3 Ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: J'étendrai sur toi mon filet au milieu d'un grand concours depeuples, et ils te tireront dans mon filet.	3 "The Lord Yahweh says this: I shal throw my net over you in a great concourse of nations; and theywil trawl you up in my net. Then I shal leave you high and dry,
4 Je t'abandonnerai sur la terre, je te jetterai à la surface des champs, je ferai reposer sur toi tous lesoiseaux du ciel, je rassasierai de toi toutes les bêtes de la terre.	4 I shal throw you out into the wilds and make al the birds of heaven settle on you, and glut all thebeasts of the earth with you.
5 Je placerai ta chair sur les montagnes, je remplirai les vallées de tes déchets;	5 I shal strew your flesh on your mountains and fil the val eys with your corruption;
6 j'arroserai le pays de ce qui coulera de toi, de ton sang, sur les montagnes, et tu rempliras lesravins.	6 I shal water the country with what flows from you, with your blood, on the mountainsides, and you wilfill the ravines.
7 Quand tu t'éteindras, je couvrirai les cieux et j'obscurcirai les étoiles; je couvrirai le soleil desnuages et la lune ne donnera plus sa clarté.	7 When I extinguish you I shal cover the skies and darken the stars. I shall cover the sun with cloudsand the moon wil not give its light.
8 J'obscurcirai tous les astres du ciel à cause de toi, je répandrai les ténèbres sur ton pays, oracle duSeigneur Yahvé.	8 I shal dim every luminary in heaven because of you and cover your country in darkness -declares theLord Yahweh.
9 J'affligerai le coeur de beaucoup de peuples quand je provoquerai ta ruine parmi les nations, dansdes pays que tu ne connais pas.	9 "I shall grieve the heart of many peoples when I bring about your destruction among the nations, incountries unknown to you.
10 Je frapperai de stupeur à ton sujet des peuples nombreux, et leurs rois frémiront d'horreur à causede toi, quand je brandirai mon épée devant eux. Ils trembleront à tout instant, chacun pour sa vie, au jour de tachute.	10 I shal stun many peoples with shock at your fate; their kings wil tremble with horror at your fate,when I brandish my sword before their eyes. The day you fal , each wil tremble in terror for his life.
11 Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: L'épée du roi de Babylone te poursuivra.	11 For the Lord Yahweh says this: The sword of the king of Babylon wil overtake you.
12 Par l'épée des guerriers, je ferai tomber la multitude de tes sujets. Ce sont les plus barbares desnations; elles anéantiront l'orgueil de l'Egypte, et toute sa multitude sera détruite.	12 I shal make your throngs of subjects fall at the swords of my warriors. They are the most barbarousof nations. They wil annihilate the pride of Egypt, and al its throngs will be destroyed.
13 Je ferai périr tout son bétail, au bord des eaux abondantes. Le pied de l'homme ne les troubleraplus, le sabot du bétail ne les troublera plus.	13 I shal also destroy al its cattle beside the plentiful waters. No human foot wil churn them, no animalfoot wil churn them up again;
14 Alors je calmerai leurs eaux, je ferai couler leurs fleuves comme de l'huile, oracle du SeigneurYahvé.	14 then I shal let their waters settle and make their rivers glide like oil -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Quand je ferai du pays d'Egypte une désolation, et que le pays sera dépouillé de ce qu'il contient,quand je frapperai tous ceux qui l'habitent, ils sauront que je suis Yahvé.	15 "When I reduce Egypt to a ruin and the country is stripped of its contents, when I strike all those wholive there, they wil know that I am Yahweh.
16 Telle est la complainte que crieront les filles des nations. Elles la crieront sur l'Egypte et surtoute sa multitude. Elles crieront cette complainte, oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.	16 "Such is the lament which the daughters of the nations wil raise. They wil raise it over Egypt and allits throng. This is the lament they will raise -- declares the Lord Yahweh." '
17 La douzième année, au premier mois, le quinze du mois, la parole de Yahvé me fut adressée ences termes:	17 In the twelfth year, on the fifteenth day of the first month, the word of Yahweh was addressed to meas fol ows,
18 Fils d'homme, lamente-toi sur la multitude de l'Egypte et fais-la descendre avec les filles desnations, majestueuses, vers le pays souterrain, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.	18 'Son of man, lament over the throng of Egypt, for down she must go with the daughters of majesticnations to the depths of the underworld with those who sink into oblivion.
19 Qui surpasses-tu en beauté? Descends, couche-toi avec les incirconcis.	19 'Whom do you surpass in beauty? Down with you, make your bed with the uncircumcised,
20 Au milieu des victimes de l'épée, ils sont tombés (l'épée a été donnée, on l'a tirée), lui et toutesses multitudes.	20 with those who have been slaughtered by the sword. (The sword has been given, it has been drawn.)She and al her throngs have fallen.
21 Du milieu du shéol, les plus puissants héros, ses alliés, lui diront: "Ils sont descendus, ils se sontcouchés, les incirconcis, victimes de l'épée!"	21 From the depths of Sheol, the mightiest heroes, her al ies, wil say to her, "They have come down,they have lain down, uncircumcised, slaughtered by the sword."
22 Voilà Assur et toutes ses troupes, avec leurs tombeaux tout autour de lui; ils sont tous tombésvictimes de l'épée,	22 'Assyria is there and al her hordes, with their graves al round her; all of them slaughtered, fal en bythe sword;
23 on a mis leurs tombeaux dans les profondeurs de la fosse et ses troupes entourent son tombeau;ils sont tous tombés victimes de l'épée, eux qui répandaient la terreur au pays des vivants.	23 their graves have been made in the deepest part of the abyss, and her hordes, with their graves alround her; all of them slaughtered, kil ed by the sword, who once spread terror through the world of the living.
24 Voilà Elam et toute sa multitude autour de son tombeau, tous tombés victimes de l'épée; ils sontdescendus, incirconcis, au pays souterrain, eux qui répandaient la terreur au pays des vivants. Ils ont porté leurdéshonneur avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.	24 'Elam is there and al her throng round her grave, al of them slaughtered, fallen by the sword; theyhave gone down uncircumcised to the depths of the underworld, who once spread terror throughout the world ofthe living. They have borne their shame with those who sink into oblivion.
25 On lui a fait une couche au milieu des victimes, parmi toute sa multitude, avec leurs tombeauxautour de lui; ils sont tous des incirconcis, victimes de l'épée pour avoir répandu la terreur au pays des vivants.Ils ont porté leur déshonneur avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse; on les a placés au milieu de ces victimes.	25 Among the slaughtered, they have put a bed for her, among her throng with their tombs round her, alof them uncircumcised, slaughtered by the sword for having spread terror throughout the world of the living.They have borne their shame with those who sink into oblivion. They have been put among the slaughtered.
26 Voilà Méshek, Tubal et toute sa multitude, avec ses tombeaux autour de lui; ils sont tousincirconcis, victimes de l'épée pour avoir répandu la terreur au pays des vivants.	26 'Meshech, Tubal are there and al her throng, with their graves round her, al of them uncircumcised,slaughtered by the sword for having spread terror through the world of the living.
27 Ils ne sont pas couchés avec les héros tombés autrefois, ceux qui descendirent au shéol les armesà la main, à qui on a mis leur épée sous la tête et leur bouclier sous leurs ossements, car la terreur des hérosrégnait au pays des vivants.	27 They do not lie with the heroes who fell long ago, those who went down to Sheol ful y armed, whohad their swords laid under their heads and their shields put under their bones, since the heroes inspired theworld of the living with terror.
28 Mais toi, c'est au milieu des incirconcis que tu seras brisé et que tu te coucheras, parmi lesvictimes de l'épée.	28 But you wil be broken with the uncircumcised and lie with those slaughtered by the sword.
29 Voilà Edom, ses rois et tous ses princes, qui ont été placés, malgré leur vaillance, parmi lesvictimes de l'épée. Ils sont couchés avec les incirconcis, avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.	29 'Edom is there, her kings and al her princes who, despite their valour, have been laid with thoseslaughtered by the sword. They lie with the uncircumcised, with those who sink into oblivion.
30 Voilà tous les princes du Nord, tous les Sidoniens, qui sont descendus avec les victimes, à causede la terreur qu'inspirait leur force. Honteux, ils se sont couchés, incirconcis, parmi les victimes de l'épée, et ilsont porté leur déshonneur avec ceux qui descendent dans la fosse.	30 'Al the princes of the north and al the Sidonians are there, who have gone down with theslaughtered, because of the terror which their power inspired. Ashamed, uncircumcised, they lie among thoseslaughtered by the sword and bear their shame with those who sink into oblivion.
31 Pharaon les verra et il se consolera à la vue de toute cette multitude victime de l'épée, - Pharaonet toute son armée - oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.	31 'Pharaoh wil see them and take comfort at the sight of al this throng slaughtered by the sword --Pharaoh and al his throng -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
32 Parce qu'il avait répandu la terreur au pays des vivants, on l'étendra parmi les incirconcis, parmiles victimes de l'épée - Pharaon et toute son armée - oracle du Seigneur Yahvé.	32 For having spread terror through the world of the living, he wil be laid with the uncircumcised, withthose slaughtered by the sword, Pharaoh and al his throng -- declares the Lord Yahweh.'
