Livre d'Isaïe 52

JERUSALEM	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Eveille-toi, éveille-toi, revêts ta force, Sion! revêts tes habits les plus magnifiques, Jérusalem, villesainte, car ils ne viendront plus jamais chez toi, l'incirconcis et l'impur.	1 Arise, arise, put on thy strength, O Sion, put on the garments of thy glory, O Jerusalem, the city of the Holy One: for henceforth the uncircumcised, and unclean shall no more pass through thee.
2 Secoue ta poussière, lève-toi, Jérusalem captive! les chaînes sont tombées de ton cou, fille de Sioncaptive!	2 Shake thyself from the dust, arise, sit up, O Jerusalem: loose the bonds from off thy neck, O captive daughter of Sion.
3 Car ainsi parle Yahvé: Vous avez été vendus pour rien, vous serez rachetés sans argent.	3 For thus saith the Lord: You were sold gratis, and you shall be redeemed without money.
4 Car ainsi parle le Seigneur Yahvé: C'est en Egypte qu'autrefois mon peuple est descendu pour yséjourner, c'est Assur qui à la fin l'a opprimé.	4 For thus saith the Lord God: My people went down into Egypt at the beginning to sojourn there: and the Assyrian hath oppressed them without any cause at all.
5 Mais maintenant, qu'ai-je à faire ici? -- oracle de Yahvé -- car mon peuple a été enlevé pour rien, sesmaîtres poussent des cris de triomphe -- oracle de Yahvé -- sans cesse, tout le jour, mon nom est bafoué.	5 And now what have I here, saith the Lord: for my people is taken away gratis. They that rule over them treat them unjustly, saith the Lord, and my name is continually blasphemed all the day long.
6 C'est pourquoi mon peuple connaîtra mon nom, c'est pourquoi il saura, en ce jour-là, que c'est moi quidis: "Me voici."	6 Therefore my people shall know my name in that day: for I myself that spoke, behold I am here.
7 Qu'ils sont beaux, sur les montagnes, les pieds du messager qui annonce la paix, du messager debonnes nouvelles qui annonce le salut, qui dit à Sion: "Ton Dieu règne."	7 How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, and that preacheth peace: of him that sheweth forth good, that preacheth salvation, that saith to Sion: Thy God shall reign!
8 C'est la voix de tes guetteurs: ils élèvent la voix, ensemble ils poussent des cris de joie, car ils ont vude leurs propres yeux Yahvé qui revient à Sion.	8 The voice of thy watchmen: they have lifted up their voice, they shah praise together: for they shall see eye to eye when the Lord shall convert Sion
9 Ensemble poussez des cris, des cris de joie, ruines de Jérusalem! car Yahvé a consolé son peuple, il aracheté Jérusalem.	9 Rejoice, and give praise together, O ye deserts of Jerusalem: for the Lord hath comforted his people: he hath redeemed Jerusalem.
10 Yahvé a découvert son bras de sainteté aux yeux de toutes les nations, et tous les confins de la terreont vu le salut de notre Dieu.	10 The Lord hath prepared his holy arm in the sight of all the Gentiles: and all the ends of the earth shall see the salvation of our God.
11 Allez-vous-en, allez-vous-en, sortez d'ici, ne touchez à rien d'impur, sortez du milieu d'elle, purifiez-vous, vous qui portez les objets de Yahvé.	11 Depart, depart, go ye out from thence, touch no unclean thing: go out of the midst of her, be ye clean, you that carry the vessels of the Lord.
12 Car vous ne sortirez pas à la hâte, vous ne vous en irez pas en fuyards, c'est Yahvé, en effet, quimarche à votre tête, et votre arrière-garde, c'est le Dieu d'Israël.	12 For you shall not go out in a tumult, neither shall you make haste by flight: For the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will gather you together.
13 Voici que mon serviteur prospérera, il grandira, s'élèvera, sera placé très haut.	13 Behold my servant shall understand, he shall be exalted, and extolled, and shall be exceeding high.
14 De même que des multitudes avaient été saisies d'épouvante à sa vue, -- car il n'avait plus figurehumaine, et son apparence n'était plus celle d'un homme --	14 As many have been astonished at thee, so shall his visage be inglorious among men, and his form among the sons of men.
15 de même des multitudes de nations seront dans la stupéfaction, devant lui des rois resteront boucheclose, pour avoir vu ce qui ne leur avait pas été raconté, pour avoir appris ce qu'ils n'avaient pas entendu dire.	15 He shall sprinkle many nations, kings shall shut their mouth at him: for they to whom it was not told of him, have seen: and they that heard not, have beheld.
