JERUSALEM	KING JAMES BIBLE
1 Oracle sur le désert de la mer. Comme des ouragans qui passent dans le Négeb, il vient du désert, d'unpays redoutable.	1 The burden of the desert of the sea. As whirlwinds in the south pass through; so it cometh from the desert, from a terrible land.
2 Une vision sinistre m'a été révélée: "Le traître trahit et le dévastateur dévaste. Monte, Elam, assiège,Mède!" J'ai fait cesser tous les gémissements.	2 A grievous vision is declared unto me; the treacherous dealer dealeth treacherously, and the spoiler spoileth. Go up, O Elam: besiege, O Media; all the sighing thereof have I made to cease.
3 C'est pourquoi mes reins sont remplis d'angoisse, des convulsions m'ont saisi comme les convulsionsde la femme qui enfante; je suis trop bouleversé pour entendre, trop troublé pour voir.	3 Therefore are my loins filled with pain: pangs have taken hold upon me, as the pangs of a woman that travaileth: I was bowed down at the hearing of it; I was dismayed at the seeing of it.
4 Mon coeur s'égare, un frisson me terrifie; le crépuscule auquel j'aspirais devient ma terreur.	4 My heart panted, fearfulness affrighted me: the night of my pleasure hath he turned into fear unto me.
5 On dresse la table, on met la nappe; on mange, on boit. Debout, chefs! Graissez le bouclier!	5 Prepare the table, watch in the watchtower, eat, drink: arise, ye princes, and anoint the shield.
6 Car ainsi m'a parlé le Seigneur: "Va, place un guetteur! Qu'il annonce ce qu'il voit!	6 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Go, set a watchman, let him declare what he seeth.
7 Il verra de la cavalerie, des cavaliers deux par deux, des hommes montés sur des ânes, des hommesmontés sur des chameaux; qu'il observe avec attention, avec grande attention."	7 And he saw a chariot with a couple of horsemen, a chariot of asses, and a chariot of camels; and he hearkened diligently with much heed:
8 Et le guetteur a crié: "Sur la tour de guet, Seigneur, je me tiens tout le long du jour, à mon poste degarde, je suis debout toute la nuit.	8 And he cried, A lion: My lord, I stand continually upon the watchtower in the daytime, and I am set in my ward whole nights:
9 Et voici que vient la cavalerie, des cavaliers deux par deux." Il a repris la parole et dit: "Elle esttombée, Babylone, elle est tombée, et toutes les images de ses dieux, il les a brisées à terre."	9 And, behold, here cometh a chariot of men, with a couple of horsemen. And he answered and said, Babylon is fallen, is fallen; and all the graven images of her gods he hath broken unto the ground.
10 Toi que j'ai foulé, grain de mon aire, ce que j'ai appris de Yahvé Sabaot, Dieu d'Israël, je tel'annonce.	10 O my threshing, and the corn of my floor: that which I have heard of the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, have I declared unto you.
11 Oracle sur Duma. Vers moi on crie depuis Séïr: "Veilleur, où en est la nuit? Veilleur, où en est lanuit?"	11 The burden of Dumah. He calleth to me out of Seir, Watchman, what of the night? Watchman, what of the night?
12 Le veilleur répond: "Le matin vient, puis encore la nuit. Si vous voulez interroger, interrogez!Revenez! Venez!"	12 The watchman said, The morning cometh, and also the night: if ye will inquire, inquire ye: return, come.
13 Oracle dans la steppe. Dans les taillis, dans la steppe, vous passez la nuit, caravanes de Dédanites.	13 The burden upon Arabia. In the forest in Arabia shall ye lodge, O ye travelling companies of Dedanim.
14 A la rencontre de l'assoiffé, apportez de l'eau! Les habitants du pays de Téma sont allés avec du painau-devant du fugitif.	14 The inhabitants of the land of Tema brought water to him that was thirsty, they prevented with their bread him that fled.
15 Car ils ont fui devant des épées, devant l'épée nue et devant l'arc tendu, devant l'acharnement ducombat.	15 For they fled from the swords, from the drawn sword, and from the bent bow, and from the grievousness of war.
16 Car ainsi m'a parlé le Seigneur: Encore une année comme des années de mercenaire, et c'en est faitde toute la gloire de Qédar.	16 For thus hath the Lord said unto me, Within a year, according to the years of an hireling, and all the glory of Kedar shall fail:
17 Et du nombre des vaillants archers, des fils de Qédar, il ne restera presque rien, car Yahvé, Dieud'Israël, a parlé.	17 And the residue of the number of archers, the mighty men of the children of Kedar, shall be diminished: for the LORD God of Israel hath spoken it.
