1 Cantico di Maalot. IO alzo gli occhi a’ monti, Per vedere onde mi verrà aiuto.	1 A song of ascents. I raise my eyes toward the mountains. From where will my help come?
2 Il mio aiuto verrà dal Signore Che ha fatto il cielo e la terra.	2 My help comes from the LORD, the maker of heaven and earth.
3 Egli non permetterà che il tuo piè vacilli; Il tuo Guardiano non sonnecchia.	3 God will not allow your foot to slip; your guardian does not sleep.
4 Ecco, il Guardiano d’Israele Non sonnecchia, e non dorme.	4 Truly, the guardian of Israel never slumbers nor sleeps.
5 Il Signore è quel che ti guarda; Il Signore è la tua ombra, egli è alla tua man destra.	5 The LORD is your guardian; the LORD is your shade at your righthand.
6 Di giorno il sole non ti ferirà, Nè la luna di notte.	6 By day the sun cannot harm you, nor the moon by night.
7 Il Signore ti guarderà d’ogni male; Egli guarderà l’anima tua.	7 The LORD will guard you from all evil, will always guard your life.
8 Il Signore guarderà la tua uscita e la tua entrata, Da ora, e fino in eterno	8 The LORD will guard your coming and going both now and forever.
