| 1 Le Seigneur parla encore à Moïse et à Aaron, et il leur dit : | 1 And the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, saying: |
| 2 Parlez aux enfants d'Israël, et dites-leur : L'homme qui est atteint de gonorrhée sera impur. | 2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and say to them: The man who undergoes a flow of seed shall be unclean. |
| 3 Et on jugera qu'il éprouve cet accident lorsqu'à chaque moment il s'amassera une humeur impure, qui s'attachera à sa personne. | 3 And then he shall be judged subject to this fault, if a filthy fluid, at each moment, adheres to his flesh and gathers there. |
| 4 Tous les lits où il dormira et tous les endroits où il se sera assis seront impurs. | 4 Every bed on which he sleeps shall be unclean, and every place where he sits. |
| 5 Si quelqu'un touche son lit, il lavera ses vêtements ; et s'étant lui-même lavé dans l'eau, il demeurera impur jusqu'au soir. | 5 If any man has touched his couch, he shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 6 S'il s'assied où cet homme se sera assis, il lavera aussi ses vêtements ; et s'étant lavé dans l'eau, il demeurera impur jusqu'au soir. | 6 If he will have sat where that man has sat, he shall also wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 7 Celui qui aura touché la chair de cet homme lavera ses vêtements ; et s'étant lui-même lavé dans l'eau, il demeurera impur jusqu'au soir. | 7 Whoever has touched his flesh shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 8 Si cet homme jette de sa salive sur celui qui est pur, celui-ci lavera ses vêtements ; et s'étant lavé dans l'eau, il demeurera impur jusqu'au soir. | 8 If such a man has cast his spittle upon him who is clean, he shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 9 La selle (le bât) sur laquelle il se sera assis sera impure ; | 9 The saddle on which he has sat shall be unclean. |
| 10 et tout ce qui aura été sous celui qui souffre cet accident sera impur jusqu'au soir. Celui qui portera quelqu'une de ces choses lavera ses vêtements ; et après avoir été lui-même lavé avec l'eau, il sera impur jusqu'au soir. | 10 And whatever has been under him who has undergone a flow of seed shall be polluted until evening. Whoever carries any of these things shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 11 Que si un homme en cet état, avant d'avoir lavé ses mains, en touche un autre, celui qui aura été touché lavera ses vêtements ; et après avoir été lui-même lavé avec l'eau, il sera impur jusqu'au soir. | 11 All whom such a one has touched, not having washed his hands before, shall wash his clothes, and having washed with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 12 Quand un vase aura été touché par cet homme, s'il est de terre, il sera brisé ; s'il est de bois, il sera lavé dans l'eau. | 12 If he has touched an earthen vessel, it shall be broken. But if it is a wooden vessel, it shall be washed with water. |
| 13 Si celui qui souffre cet accident est guéri, il comptera sept jours après en avoir été délivré, et ayant lavé ses habits et tout son corps dans des eaux vives, il sera pur. | 13 If he who suffers from this affliction will have been healed, he shall number seven days after his cleansing, and having washed his clothes and his entire body in living water, he shall be clean. |
| 14 Le huitième jour il prendra deux tourterelles, ou deux petits de colombe, et, se présentant devant le Seigneur à l'entrée du tabernacle du (de) témoignage, il les donnera au prêtre, | 14 Then, on the eighth day, he shall take two turtledoves or two young pigeons, and he shall advance, in the sight of the Lord, toward the door of the tabernacle of the testimony, and he shall give these to the priest, |
| 15 qui en immolera l'un pour le péché et offrira l'autre en holocauste, et qui priera pour lui devant le Seigneur, afin qu'il soit purifié de cette impureté (sa gonorrhée). | 15 who shall offer one for sin, and the other as a holocaust. And he shall pray for him before the Lord, so that he may be cleansed from the flow of his seed. |
| 16 L'homme à qui il arrive une pollution (qui a usé du mariage) lavera d'eau tout son corps, et il sera impur jusqu'au soir. | 16 A man from whom the seed of sexual intercourse goes out shall wash his entire body with water, and he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 17 Il lavera dans l'eau la robe et la peau qu'il aura eue sur lui, et elle sera impure jusqu'au soir. | 17 The garment or skin which he will have, he shall wash with water, and it shall be unclean until evening. |
| 18 La femme dont il se sera approché se lavera, et elle sera impure jusqu'au soir. | 18 The woman with whom he has had sexual intercourse shall be washed with water, and she shall be unclean until evening. |
| 19 La femme qui souffre ce qui dans l'ordre de la nature arrive chaque mois, sera séparée pendant sept jours. | 19 The woman who, at the return of the month, undergoes the flow of blood shall be separated for seven days. |
| 20 Quiconque la touchera sera impur jusqu'au soir ; | 20 All who will touch her shall be unclean until evening. |
| 21 et toutes les choses sur lesquelles elle aura dormi, et où elle se sera assise pendant les jours de sa séparation, seront souillées. | 21 And everything on which she sleeps or sits, in the days of her separation, shall be polluted. |
| 22 Celui qui aura touché à son lit lavera ses vêtements ; et après s'être lui-même lavé dans l'eau, il sera impur jusqu'au soir. | 22 Whoever will have touched her bed shall wash his clothes, and having washed himself with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 23 Quiconque aura touché à toutes les choses sur lesquelles elle se sera assise lavera ses vêtements ; et s'étant lui-même lavé dans l'eau, il sera souillé jusqu'au soir. | 23 Anyone who will have touched any item on which she has sat shall wash his clothes, and having washed himself with water, he shall be polluted until evening. |
| 24 Si un homme s'approche d'elle lorsqu'elle sera dans cet état qui vient chaque mois, il sera impur pendant sept jours ; et tous les lits sur lesquels il dormira seront souillés. | 24 If a man has sexual intercourse with her in the time of her monthly flow of blood, he shall be unclean for seven days, and every bed on which he sleeps shall be polluted. |
| 25 La femme qui, hors le temps ordinaire, souffre plusieurs jours cet accident qui ne doit arriver qu'à chaque mois, ou pour laquelle cet accident ordinaire continue lors même qu'il aurait dû cesser, demeurera impure, comme elle est chaque mois, tant qu'elle sera sujette à cet accident. | 25 The woman who undergoes a flow of blood many days beyond her time of menstruation, or whose blood does not cease to flow after the menstrual blood, as long as she is subject to this affliction, she shall be unclean, just as if she were in her time of menstruation. |
| 26 Tous les lits sur lesquels elle aura dormi, et toutes les choses sur lesquelles elle se sera assise, seront impures. | 26 Every bed on which she sleeps, and every item on which she sits, shall be polluted. |
| 27 Quiconque les aura touchées lavera ses vêtements ; et après s'être lui-même lavé dans l'eau, il demeurera impur jusqu'au soir. | 27 Whoever will have touched these shall wash his clothes, and having washed himself with water, he shall be unclean until evening. |
| 28 Si cet accident s'arrête et n'a plus son effet, elle comptera sept jours pour sa purification ; | 28 If the blood has stopped and has ceased to flow, she shall number seven days for her purification, |
| 29 et au huitième jour elle offrira pour elle au prêtre deux tourterelles ou deux petits de colombes, à l'entrée du tabernacle du (de) témoignage. | 29 and on the eighth day she shall offer for herself, to the priest, two turtledoves or two young pigeons, at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony. |
| 30 Le prêtre en immolera l'un pour le péché, et offrira l'autre en holocauste ; et il priera devant le Seigneur pour elle, et pour ce qu'elle a souffert d'impur. | 30 And he shall offer one for sin, and the other as a holocaust, and he shall pray for her before the Lord, and for the flow of her uncleanness. |
| 31 Vous apprendrez donc aux enfants d'Israël à se garder de l'impureté, afin qu'ils ne meurent point dans leurs souillures, après avoir violé la sainteté de mon tabernacle qui est au milieu d'eux. | 31 Therefore, you shall teach the sons of Israel to be cautious of uncleanness, so that they may not die in their filth, when they will have polluted my tabernacle, which is among them. |
| 32 C'est là la loi qui regarde celui qui souffre de gonorrhée, ou qui se souille en s'approchant d'une femme, | 32 This is the law of him who undergoes a flow of seed, or who is polluted by sexual intercourse, |
| 33 et c'est là aussi la loi qui regarde la femme qui est séparée à cause de ce qui lui arrive chaque mois, ou en laquelle ce même accident continue dans la suite ; et qui regarde aussi l'homme qui se sera approché d'elle en cet état. | 33 and of her who is separated in the time of menstruation, or who has a continual flow of blood, and of the man who sleeps with her. |
