| 4 ainsi le roi des Assyriens emmènera d'Egypte et d'Ethiopie, captifs et exilés, les jeunes gens et les vieillards, nus et déchaussés, les reins découverts, à la honte (ce qui doit être caché dans le corps ayant été découvert pour l'ignominie) de l'Egypte. | 4 So shall the king of the Assyrians lead away the prisoners of Egypt, and the captivity of Ethiopia, young and old. naked and barefoot, with their buttocks uncovered to the shame of Egypt. |
| 5 And they shall be afraid, and ashamed of Ethiopia their hope, and of Egypt their glory. |
| 6 Alors les Juifs seront dans l'effroi (ils craindront), et ils rougiront (seront confondus par l'Ethiopie dans leur espoir, note) d'avoir mis leur espérance dans l'Ethiopie, et leur gloire dans l'Egypte.line Et les habitants de cette île diront en ce jour-là : C'était donc là notre espérance ? (,) Voilà ceux dont nous implorions le secours pour être délivrés du roi des Assyriens ! Et comment pourrons-nous échapper nous-mêmes ? | 6 And the inhabitants of this isle shall say in that day: Lo this was our hope, to whom we fled for help, to deliver up from the face of the king of the Assyrians: and how shall we be able to escape? |
