| 3 Adam, ayant vécu cent trente ans, engendra un fils à son image et à sa ressemblance, et il le nomma Seth. | 3 And Adam lived a hundred and thirty years, and begot a son to his own image and likeness, and called his name Seth. |
| 4 Après qu'Adam eut engendré Seth, il vécut huit cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles. | 4 And the days of Adam, after he begot Seth, were eight hundred years: and he begot sons and daughters. |
| 5 Et tout le temps de la vie d'Adam fut de neuf cent trente ans, et il mourut. | 5 And all the time that Adam lived came to nine hundred and thirty years, and he died. |
| 6 Seth aussi, ayant vécu cent cinq ans, engendra Enos. | 6 Seth also lived a hundred and five years, and begot Enos. |
| 7 Et après que Seth eut engendré Enos, il vécut huit cent sept ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles. | 7 And Seth lived after he begot Enos, eight hundred and seven years, and begot sons and daughters. |
| 8 Et tout le temps de la vie de Seth fut de neuf cent douze ans, et il mourut. | 8 And all the days of Seth were nine hundred and twelve years, and he died. |
| 9 Enos, ayant vécu quatre-vingt-dix ans, engendra Caïnan. | 9 And Enos lived ninety years, and begot Cainan. |

| 21 Or Hénoch, ayant vécut soixante-cinq ans, engendra Mathusala. | 21 And Henoch lived sixty-five years, and begot Mathusala. |
| 22 Hénoch marcha avec Dieu; et après avoir engendré Mathusala, il vécut trois cents ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles. | 22 And Henoch walked with God: and lived after he begot Mathusala, three hundred years, and begot sons and daughters. |
| 23 Et tout le temps qu'Hénoch vécut fut de trois cent soixante-cinq ans. | 23 And all the days of Henoch were three hundred and sixty-five years. |
| 24 Il marcha avec Dieu, et il ne parut plus, parce que Dieu l'enleva. | 24 And he walked with God, and was seen no more: because God took him. |
| 25 Mathusala, ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-sept ans, engendra Lamech. | 25 And Mathusala lived a hundred and eighty-seven years, and begot Lamech. |
| 26 Après avoir engendré Lamech, il vécut sept cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles. | 26 And Mathusala lived after he begot Lamech, seven hundred and eighty-two years, and begot sons and daughters. |
| 27 Et tout le temps de la vie de Mathusala fut de neuf cent soixante-neuf ans, et il mourut. | 27 And all the days of Mathusala were nine hundred and sixty-nine years, and he died. |
| 28 Lamech, ayant vécu cent quatre-vingt-deux ans, engendra un fils, | 28 And Lamech lived a hundred and eighty-two years, and begot a son. |
| 29 Qu'il nomma Noé, en disant: Celui-ci nous consolera parmi nos travaux et les oeuvres de nos mains, sur la terre que le Seigneur a maudite. | 29 And he called his name Noe, saying: This same shall comfort us from the works and labours of our hands on the earth which the Lord hath cursed. |
| 30 Lamech, après avoir engendré Noé, vécut cinq cent quatre-vingt-quinze ans, et il engendra des fils et des filles. | 30 And Lamech lived after he begot Noe, five hundred and ninety-five years, and he begot sons and daughters. |
| 31 Et tout le temps de la vie de Lamech fut de sept cent soixante-dix-sept ans, et il mourut. Or Noé, ayant cinq cents ans, engendra Sem, Cham et Japheth. | 31 And all the days of Lamech came to seven hundred and seventy-seven years, and he died. And Noe, when he was five hundred years old, begot Sem, Cham, and Japheth. |
