1 Alleluia. Praise the Lord, children. Praise the name of the Lord.	1 Alleluia. Fanciulli, lodate il Signore: lodate il nome del Signore.
2 Blessed is the name of the Lord, from this time forward and even forever.	2 Sia benedetto il nome del Signore ora e sempre.
3 From the rising of the sun, even to its setting, praiseworthy is the name of the Lord.	3 Dall'oriente all'occidente deve essere lodato il nome del Signore.
4 The Lord is high above all nations, and his glory is high above the heavens.	4 Il Signore è al disopra di tutte ìe nazioni, e sopra i cieli si levala sua gloria.
5 Who is like the Lord, our God, who dwells on high,	5 Chi può essere simile al Signore Dio nostro che abita nell'alto dei cieli e guarda gli umili in cielo e in terra?
6 and who gazes upon the humble things in heaven and on earth?	6 Egli solleva dalla polvere il mendico e trae il povero dal letame,
7 He lifts up the needy from the ground, and he urges the poor away from filth,	7 Per metterlo a sedere tra i principi, tra i principi del suo popolo.
8 so that he may place him with the leaders, with the leaders of his people.	8 Egli fa abitare nella casa la sterile, come lieta madre in mezzo ai figli.
9 He causes a barren woman to live in a house, as the joyful mother of sons.
