Psalms 27

NEW JERUSALEM	Peshitta
1 [Of David] Yahweh is my light and my salvation, whom should I fear? Yahweh is the fortress of my life,whom should I dread?	1 ܡܪܝܐ ܢܘܗܪܝ ܘܦܘܪܩܢܝ ܡܢ ܡܢ ܐܕܚܠ. ܡܪܝܐ ܥܘܫܢܐ ܕܚܝ̈ܝ ܡܢ ܡܢ ܗܘ ܙܐܥ ܐܢܐ
2 When the wicked advance against me to eat me up, they, my opponents, my enemies, are the oneswho stumble and fal .	2 ܟܕ ܩܪܒܘ ܠܝ ܒܝܫ̈ܐ ܠܡܐܟܠ ܒܣܪܝ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܘܣܢܐ̈ܝ ܐܝܟ ܚܕܐ ܐܣܬܚܦܘ ܘܢܦܠܘ
3 Though an army pitch camp against me, my heart wil not fear, though war break out against me, mytrust wil never be shaken.	3 ܐܢ ܬܫܪܐ ܥܠܝ ܡܫܪܝܬܐ ܠܐ ܕܚܠ ܠܒܝ ܘܐܢ ܢܩܘܡ ܥܠܝ ܩܪܒܐ ܒܗܕܐ ܬܟܝܠ ܐܢܐ
4 One thing I ask of Yahweh, one thing I seek: to dwel in Yahweh's house all the days of my life, toenjoy the sweetness of Yahweh, to seek out his temple.	4 ܕܚܕܐ ܫܐܠܬ ܡܢ ܡܪܝܐ ܘܠܗ̇ ܗܘ ܒܥܐ ܐܢܐ ܕܐܥܡܪ ܒܒܝܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܟܠܗܘܢ ܝܘܡ̈ܬܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܝ ܘܐܚܙܐ ܒܒܣܝܡܘܬܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܘܐܦܩܘܕ ܗܝܟܠܗ
5 For he hides me away under his roof on the day of evil, he folds me in the recesses of his tent, setsme high on a rock.	5 ܡܛܠ ܕܢܛܫܝܢܝ ܒܣܬܪܗ ܒܝܘܡܐ ܒܝܫܐ ܘܢܛܫܝܢܝ ܒܛܠܠܐ ܕܡܫܟܢܗ ܘܥܠ ܫܘܥܐ ܢܪܝܡܢܝ
6 Now my head is held high above the enemies who surround me; in his tent I wil offer sacrifices ofacclaim. I wil sing, I wil make music for Yahweh.	6 ܡܢ ܗܫܐ ܢܬܬܪܝܡ ܪܝܫܝ ܥܠ ܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܕܚܕܪܘܢܝ ܘܐܕܒܚ ܒܡܫܟܢܗ ܕܒܚ̈ܐ ܕܫܘܒܚܐ ܐܫܒܚ ܘܐܙܡܪ ܠܡܪܝܐ
7 Yahweh, hear my voice as I cry, pity me, answer me!	7 ܫܡܥ ܡܪܝܐ ܩܠܝ ܡܐ ܕܩܪܝܬܟ ܪܚܡ ܥܠܝ ܘܥܢܝܢܝ
8 Of you my heart has said, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Yahweh, I seek;	8 ܠܟ ܐܡܪ ܠܒܝ ܘܒ̈ܥܝܢ ܐ̈ܦܝ ܠܐ̈ܦܝܟ
9 do not turn away from me. Do not thrust aside your servant in anger, without you I am helpless. Neverleave me, never forsake me, God, my Saviour.	9 ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܗܦܟ ܐ̈ܦܝܟ ܡܢܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܐܠܨܝܘܗܝ ܒܪܘܓܙܐ ܠܥܒܕܟ ܥܕܘܪܝ ܗܘܝܬ ܡܪܝܐ ܠܐ ܬܫܕܝܢܝ ܘܠܐ ܬܫܒܩܢܝ ܐܠܗܝ ܘܦܪܘܩܝ
10 Though my father and mother forsake me, Yahweh wil gather me up.	10 ܡܛܠ ܕܐܒܝ ܘܐܡܝ ܫܒܩܘܢܝ ܘܡܪܝܐ ܚܡܠܢܝ
11 Yahweh, teach me your way, lead me on the path of integrity because of my enemies;	11 ܐܠܦܝܢܝ ܡܪܝܐ ܐܘܪܚܟ ܘܕܒܪܝܢܝ ܒܫ̈ܒܝܠܝܟ ܬܪ̈ܝܨܐ
12 do not abandon me to the wil of my foes -- false witnesses have risen against me, and are breathingout violence.	12 ܘܠܐ ܬܫܠܡܢܝ ܠܒ̈ܥܠܕܒܒܝ ܡܛܠ ܕܩܡܘ ܥܠܝ ܣܗ̈ܕܐ ܕܫܘܩܪܐ ܘܡܠܠܘ ܥܘܠܐ
13 This I believe: I shal see the goodness of Yahweh, in the land of the living.	13 ܐܢܐ ܕܝܢ ܗܝܡܢܬ ܕܐܚܙܐ ܒܛܒܬ̈ܗ ܕܡܪܝܐ ܒܐܪܥܐ ܕܚ̈ܝܐ
14 Put your hope in Yahweh, be strong, let your heart be bold, put your hope in Yahweh.	14 ܣܒܪܘ ܒܡܪܝܐ ܘܢܬܚܝܠ ܠܒܟܘܢ ܣܒܪܘ ܒܡܪܝܐ
