Livre d'Osée 12

JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ephraïm m'entoure de mensonge et la maison d'Israël de tromperie. (Mais Juda est encore auprès deDieu, au Saint il reste fidèle.)	1 Ephraim besieges me with lying, the House of Israel with duplicity. (But Judah stil is on God's side, heis faithful to the Holy One.)
2 Ephraïm se repaît de vent, tout le jour il poursuit le vent d'est; il multiplie mensonge et fausseté: onconclut alliance avec Assur, on porte de l'huile à l'Egypte.	2 Ephraim feeds himself on wind, all day he chases the wind from the East, he heaps up cheating andviolence; they make a treaty with Assyria, at the same time sending oil to Egypt.
3 Yahvé est en procès avec Juda, il va sévir contre Jacob selon sa conduite, et lui rendre selon sesactions.	3 Yahweh has a case against Judah, he will punish Jacob as his conduct merits, he will repay him as hisdeeds deserve.
4 Dès le sein maternel il supplanta son frère, dans sa vigueur il fut fort contre Dieu.	4 In the very womb he overreached his brother, in maturity he wrestled against God.
5 Il fut fort contre l'Ange et l'emporta, il pleura et l'implora. A Béthel il le rencontra. C'est là qu'il parlaavec nous.	5 He wrestled with the angel and beat him, he wept and pleaded with him. He met him at Bethel andthere God spoke to us-
6 Oui, Yahvé, le Dieu Sabaot, Yahvé est son titre.	6 yes, Yahweh, God Sabaoth, Yahweh is his title!
7 Pour toi, grâce à ton Dieu, tu reviendras. Garde l'amour et le droit et espère en ton Dieu toujours.	7 So turn back with God's help, maintain faithful love and loyalty and always put your trust in your God.
8 Canaan a en main des balances trompeuses, il aime à exploiter.	8 Merchants use fraudulent scales. To defraud is his delight.
9 Ephraïm a dit: "Oui, je me suis enrichi, je me suis acquis une fortune"; mais de tous ses gains, rien nelui restera, à cause de la faute dont il s'est rendu coupable.	9 'How rich I have become!' says Ephraim, 'I have made a fortune.' But of al his gains he wil keepnothing because of the sin of which he is guilty.
10 Je suis Yahvé ton Dieu, depuis le pays d'Egypte. Je te ferai encore habiter sous les tentes commeaux jours du Rendez-vous.	10 But I have been Yahweh your God since your days in Egypt and will make you live in tents again asin the days of Meeting.
11 Je parlerai aux prophètes, moi, je multiplierai les visions et par le ministère des prophètes je parleraien paraboles.	11 I will speak through prophets, I will give vision after vision and through the ministry of prophets wilspeak in parables.
12 Si Galaad n'est qu'iniquité, eux ne sont que fausseté; à Gilgal ils sacrifient aux taureaux, c'estpourquoi leurs autels seront comme des monceaux de pierres sur les sillons des champs.	12 Is Gilead a sink of iniquity? Yes, they are a worthless lot! At Gilgal they sacrifice to bulls, that is whytheir altars are like heaps of stones in a ploughed field.
13 Jacob s'enfuit aux campagnes d'Aram, Israël servit pour une femme, pour une femme, il garda lestroupeaux.	13 Jacob fled to the countryside of Aram, Israel slaved to win a wife, to win a wife he looked after sheep.
14 Mais par un prophète, Yahvé fit monter Israël d'Egypte, et par un prophète il fut gardé.	14 By a prophet Yahweh brought Israel out of Egypt and by a prophet Israel was preserved.
15 Ephraïm l'a offensé amèrement: Yahvé rejettera sur lui le sang versé, son Seigneur lui revaudra sesoutrages.	15 Ephraim gave bitter provocation- Yahweh will bring his bloodshed down on him, his Lord wil repayhim for his insult.
