DOUAI-RHEIMSLXX
The prayer of the poor man, when he was anxious, and poured out his supplication before the Lord.1 τω δαυιδ ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και παντα τα εντος μου το ονομα το αγιον αυτου
Hear, O Lord, my prayer: and let my cry come to thee.2 ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον και μη επιλανθανου πασας τας ανταποδοσεις αυτου
Turn not away thy face from me: in the day when I am in trouble, incline thy ear to me. In what day soever I shall call upon thee, hear me speedily.3 τον ευιλατευοντα πασαις ταις ανομιαις σου τον ιωμενον πασας τας νοσους σου
For my days are vanished like smoke: and my bones are grown dry like fuel for the fire.4 τον λυτρουμενον εκ φθορας την ζωην σου τον στεφανουντα σε εν ελεει και οικτιρμοις
I am smitten as grass, and my heart is withered: because I forgot to eat my bread.5 τον εμπιπλωντα εν αγαθοις την επιθυμιαν σου ανακαινισθησεται ως αετου η νεοτης σου
Through the voice of my groaning, my bone hath cleaved to my flesh.6 ποιων ελεημοσυνας ο κυριος και κριμα πασι τοις αδικουμενοις
I am become like to a pelican of the wilderness: I am like a night raven in the house.7 εγνωρισεν τας οδους αυτου τω μωυση τοις υιοις ισραηλ τα θεληματα αυτου
I have watched, and am become as a sparrow all alone on the housetop.8 οικτιρμων και ελεημων ο κυριος μακροθυμος και πολυελεος
All the day long my enemies reproached me: and they that praised me did swear against me.9 ουκ εις τελος οργισθησεται ουδε εις τον αιωνα μηνιει
For I did eat ashes like bread, and mingled my drink with weeping.10 ου κατα τας αμαρτιας ημων εποιησεν ημιν ουδε κατα τας ανομιας ημων ανταπεδωκεν ημιν
Because of thy anger and indignation: for having lifted me up thou hast thrown me down.11 οτι κατα το υψος του ουρανου απο της γης εκραταιωσεν κυριος το ελεος αυτου επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον
My days have declined like a shadow, and I am withered like grass.12 καθ' οσον απεχουσιν ανατολαι απο δυσμων εμακρυνεν αφ' ημων τας ανομιας ημων
But thou, O Lord, endurest for ever: and thy memorial to all generations.13 καθως οικτιρει πατηρ υιους οικτιρησεν κυριος τους φοβουμενους αυτον
Thou shalt arise and have mercy on Sion: for it is time to have mercy on it, for the time is come.14 οτι αυτος εγνω το πλασμα ημων μνησθητι οτι χους εσμεν
For the stones thereof have pleased thy servants: and they shall have pity on the earth thereof.15 ανθρωπος ωσει χορτος αι ημεραι αυτου ωσει ανθος του αγρου ουτως εξανθησει
And the Gentiles shall fear thy name, O Lord, and all the kings of the earth thy glory.16 οτι πνευμα διηλθεν εν αυτω και ουχ υπαρξει και ουκ επιγνωσεται ετι τον τοπον αυτου
For the Lord hath built up Sion: and he shall be seen in his glory.17 το δε ελεος του κυριου απο του αιωνος και εως του αιωνος επι τους φοβουμενους αυτον και η δικαιοσυνη αυτου επι υιους υιων
He hath had regard to the prayer of the humble: and he hath not despised their petition.18 τοις φυλασσουσιν την διαθηκην αυτου και μεμνημενοις των εντολων αυτου του ποιησαι αυτας
Let these things be written unto another generation: and the people that shall be created shall praise the Lord:19 κυριος εν τω ουρανω ητοιμασεν τον θρονον αυτου και η βασιλεια αυτου παντων δεσποζει
Because he hath looked forth from his high sanctuary: from heaven the Lord hath looked upon the earth.20 ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντες οι αγγελοι αυτου δυνατοι ισχυι ποιουντες τον λογον αυτου του ακουσαι της φωνης των λογων αυτου
That he might hear the groans of them that are in fetters: that he might release the children of the slain:21 ευλογειτε τον κυριον πασαι αι δυναμεις αυτου λειτουργοι αυτου ποιουντες το θελημα αυτου
That they may declare the name of the Lord in Sion: and his praise in Jerusalem;22 ευλογειτε τον κυριον παντα τα εργα αυτου εν παντι τοπω της δεσποτειας αυτου ευλογει η ψυχη μου τον κυριον
When the people assemble together, and kings, to serve the Lord.
He answered him in the way of his strength: Declare unto me the fewness of my days.
Call me not away in the midst of my days: thy years are unto generation and generation.
In the beginning, O Lord, thou foundedst the earth: end the heavens are the works of thy hands.
They shall perish but thou remainest: and all of them shall grow old like a garment: And as a vesture thou shalt change them, and they shall be changed.
But thou art always the selfsame, and thy years shall not fail.
The children of thy servants shall continue: and their seed shall be directed for ever.
