| 7 Por tanto, hermanos, esperad con paciencia hasta la venida del Señor. Mirad: el labrador aguarda el fruto precioso de la tierra, esperando con paciencia hasta que recibe la lluvia temprana y la tardía. | 7 Be patient, therefore, brothers, until the coming of the Lord. See how the farmer waits for the precious fruit of the earth, being patient with it until it receives the early and the late rains. |

| 10 Hermanos, tomad como modelo de resistencia y de paciencia a los profetas que hablaron en nombre del Señor; | 10 Take as an example of hardship and patience, brothers, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. |
| 11 mirad: nosotros proclamamos dichosos a los que tuvieron paciencia. Habéis oído hablar de la paciencia de Job y ya sabéis el final que le concedió el Señor, porque el Señor es compasivo y misericordioso. | 11 Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. | 19 Hermanos míos, si alguno de vosotros se desvía de la verdad y otro lo convierte, | 19 My brothers, if anyone among you should stray from the truth and someone bring him back, |
| 20 sepa que quien convierte a un pecador de su extravío se salvará de la muerte y sepultará un sinfín de pecados. | 20 he should know that whoever brings back a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. |
