1 After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree.	1 Danach sah ich vier Engel, die standen an den vier Ecken der Erde und hielten die vier Winde der Erde fest, damit kein Wind wehe über das Land noch über das Meer noch über irgendeinen Baum.
2 Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea,	2 Und ich sah einen anderen Engel, der stieg herauf vom Aufgang der Sonne; er hatte ein Siegel des lebendigen Gottes und rief mit lauter Stimme den vier Engeln zu, denen Macht gegeben ist, Schaden zu bringen dem Land und dem Meer:
3 saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads."	3 "Bringt nicht Schaden dem Land noch dem Meer noch den Bäumen, bis wir die Knechte unseres Gottes mit dem Siegel bezeichnet haben auf ihren Stirnen!"
4 And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, out of every tribe of the sons of Israel,	4 Und ich vernahm die Zahl der Bezeichneten: einhundertvierundvierzigtausend Bezeichnete aus allen Stämmen der Kinder Israels.
5 twelve thousand sealed out of the tribe of Judah, twelve thousand of the tribe of Reuben, twelve thousand of the tribe of Gad,	5 Aus dem Stamme Juda zwölftausend Bezeichnete, aus dem Stamme Ruben zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Gad zwölftausend,
6 twelve thousand of the tribe of Asher, twelve thousand of the tribe of Naphtali, twelve thousand of the tribe of Manasseh,	6 aus dem Stamme Aser zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Nephtalim zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Manasse zwölftausend,
7 twelve thousand of the tribe of Simeon, twelve thousand of the tribe of Levi, twelve thousand of the tribe of Issachar,	7 aus dem Stamme Symeon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Levi zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Issachar zwölftausend,
8 twelve thousand of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve thousand of the tribe of Joseph, twelve thousand sealed out of the tribe of Benjamin.	8 aus dem Stamme Zabulon zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Joseph zwölftausend, aus dem Stamme Benjamin zwölftausend Bezeichnete.
9 After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no man could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands,	9 Darauf sah ich hin, und siehe, es war eine große Schar, die niemand zu zählen vermochte, aus jeder Nation und aus allen Stämmen, Völkern und Sprachen; sie standen vor dem Thron und vor dem Lamm, angetan mit weißen Gewändern und mit Palmen in ihren Händen.
10 and crying out with a loud voice, "Salvation belongs to our God who sits upon the throne, and to the Lamb!"	10 Sie riefen mit lauter Stimme: "Das Heil unserem Gott, der auf dem Throne sitzt, und dem Lamme!"
11 And all the angels stood round the throne and round the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,	11 Und alle Engel standen im Umkreis des Thrones und der Ältesten und der vier Wesen; sie fielen vor dem Thron auf ihr Angesicht nieder, beteten Gott an
12 saying, "Amen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God for ever and ever! Amen."	12 und riefen: "Amen. Lob und Herrlichkeit, Weisheit und Dank, Ehre, Macht und Stärke unserem Gott in alle Ewigkeit. Amen."
13 Then one of the elders addressed me, saying, "Who are these, clothed in white robes, and whence have they come?"	13 Da wandte sich einer von den Ältesten an mich und fragte: "Wer sind denn diese in ihren weißen Gewändern? Woher sind sie gekommen?"
14 I said to him, "Sir, you know." And he said to me, "These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.	14 Ich entgegnete ihm: "Mein Herr, du weißt es." Und er sagte zu mir: "Es sind jene, die aus der großen Drangsal kommen; sie wuschen ihre Kleider und reinigten sie im Blute des Lammes.
15 Therefore are they before the throne of God, and serve him day and night within his temple; and he who sits upon the throne will shelter them with his presence.	15 Darum sind sie vor dem Throne Gottes und dienen ihm Tag und Nacht in seinem Tempel, und der auf dem Throne sitzt, wird über ihnen wohnen.
16 They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more; the sun shall not strike them, nor any scorching heat.	16 Sie werden nicht mehr hungern und dürsten, und nimmer wird die Sonne auf sie fallen noch irgendeine Glut.
17 For the Lamb in the midst of the throne will be their shepherd, and he will guide them to springs of living water; and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes."	17 Denn das Lamm in der Mitte vor dem Throne wird sie weiden und zu den Wasserquellen des Lebens führen, und Gott wird jede Träne wegwischen von ihren Augen."
