Hebrews 1

1 In many and various ways God spoke of old to our fathers by the prophets,	1 Après avoir, à maintes reprises et sous maintes formes, parlé jadis aux Pères par les prophètes,Dieu,
2 but in these last days he has spoken to us by a Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.	2 en ces jours qui sont les derniers, nous a parlé par le Fils, qu'il a établi héritier de toutes choses, parqui aussi il a fait les siècles.
3 He reflects the glory of God and bears the very stamp of his nature, upholding the universe by his word of power. When he had made purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high,	3 Resplendissement de sa gloire, effigie de sa substance, ce Fils qui soutient l'univers par sa parolepuissante, ayant accompli la purification des péchés, s'est assis à la droite de la Majesté dans les hauteurs,
4 having become as much superior to angels as the name he has obtained is more excellent than theirs.	4 devenu d'autant supérieur aux anges que le nom qu'il a reçu en héritage est incomparable au leur.
5 For to what angel did God ever say, "Thou art my Son, today I have begotten thee"? Or again, "I will be to him a father, and he shall be to me a son"?	5 Auquel des anges, en effet, Dieu a-t-il jamais dit: Tu es mon Fils, moi, aujourd'hui, je t'aiengendré? Et encore: Je serai pour lui un père, et lui sera pour moi un fils.
6 And again, when he brings the first-born into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him."	6 Et de nouveau, lorsqu'il introduit le Premier-né dans le monde, il dit: Que tous les anges de Dieul'adorent.
7 Of the angels he says, "Who makes his angels winds, and his servants flames of fire."	7 Tandis qu'il s'exprime ainsi en s'adressant aux anges: Il fait de ses anges des vents, de ses serviteurune flamme ardente,
8 But of the Son he says, "Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever, the righteous scepter is the scepter of thy kingdom.	8 il dit à son Fils: Ton trône, ô Dieu, subsiste dans les siècles des siècles, et: le sceptre de droiture estle sceptre de sa royauté.
9 Thou hast loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; therefore God, thy God, has anointed thee with the oil of gladness beyond thy comrades."	9 Tu as aimé la justice et tu as haï l'impiété. C'est pourquoi, Dieu, ton Dieu t'a oint d'une huiled'allégresse de préférence à tes compagnons.
10 And, "Thou, Lord, didst found the earth in the beginning, and the heavens are the work of thy hands;	10 Et encore: C'est toi, Seigneur, qui aux origines fondas la terre, et les cieux sont l'ouvrage de tesmains.
11 they will perish, but thou remainest; they will all grow old like a garment,	11 Eux périront, mais toi tu demeures, et tous ils vieilliront comme un vêtement.
12 like a mantle thou wilt roll them up, and they will be changed. But thou art the same, and thy years will never end."	12 Comme un manteau tu les rouleras, comme un vêtement, et ils seront changés. Mais toi, tu es lemême et tes années ne s'achèveront point.
13 But to what angel has he ever said, "Sit at my right hand, till I make thy enemies a stool for thy feet"?	13 Et auquel des anges a-t-il jamais dit: Assieds-toi à ma droite jusqu'à ce que je place tes ennemiscomme un escabeau sous tes pieds?
14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to serve, for the sake of those who are to obtain salvation?	14 Est-ce que tous ne sont pas des esprits chargés d'un ministère, envoyés en service pour ceux quidoivent hériter du salut?
