2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, Silvanus, and Timothy, to the Church of the Thessalonians in God our father and the Lord Jesus Christ:	1 Pablo, Silvano y Timoteo a la Iglesia de los Tesalonicenses en Dios, nuestro Padre, y en el Señor Jesucristo.
2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.	2 A vosotros gracia y paz de parte de Dios Padre y del Señor Jesucristo.
3 We are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren, as is fitting, because your faith is growing abundantly, and the love of every one of you for one another is increasing.	3 Debemos dar continuas gracias a Dios por vosotros, hermanos, como es justo, pues vuestra fe crece vigorosamente y sigue aumentando el amor mutuo de todos y cada uno de vosotros.
4 Therefore we ourselves boast of you in the churches of God for your steadfastness and faith in all your persecutions and in the afflictions which you are enduring.	4 Esto hace que nos mostremos orgullosos de vosotros ante las iglesias de Dios por vuestra paciencia y vuestra fe en medio de todas las persecuciones y tribulaciones que estáis soportando.
5 This is evidence of the righteous judgment of God, that you may be made worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering--	5 Así se pone de manifiesto el justo juicio divino, de manera que lleguéis a ser dignos del reino de Dios, por el cual padecéis;
6 since indeed God deems it just to repay with affliction those who afflict you,	6 pues es justo a los ojos de Dios retribuir con tribulaciones a los que os atribulan;
7 and to grant rest with us to you who are afflicted, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with his mighty angels in flaming fire,	7 en cambio, concederos a vosotros, los que pasáis tribulación, el debido descanso, juntamente con nosotros, cuando el Señor Jesús se revele desde el cielo con sus poderosos ángeles,
8 inflicting vengeance upon those who do not know God and upon those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.	8 en medio de un fuego llameante, para hacer justicia contra los que se niegan a reconocer a Dios y contra los que no obedecen al Evangelio de nuestro Señor Jesús;
9 They shall suffer the punishment of eternal destruction and exclusion from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might,	9 estos sufrirán el castigo de una ruina definitiva, lejos de la presencia del Señor y de la gloria de su poder,
10 when he comes on that day to be glorified in his saints, and to be marveled at in all who have believed, because our testimony to you was believed.	10 cuando, en aquel día, venga a manifestar su gloria entre sus santos y a provocar la admiración entre todos los creyentes; pues vosotros creísteis nuestro testimonio.
11 To this end we always pray for you, that our God may make you worthy of his call, and may fulfil every good resolve and work of faith by his power,	11 Por esto, oramos continuamente por vosotros, para que nuestro Dios os haga dignos de la vocación y con su poder lleve a término todo propósito de hacer el bien y la tarea de la fe.
12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ.	12 De este modo, el nombre de nuestro Señor Jesús será glorificado en vosotros y vosotros en él, según la gracia de nuestro Dios y del Señor Jesucristo.
