Zechariah 9

1 An Oracle The word of the LORD is against the land of Hadrach and will rest upon Damascus. For to the LORD belong the cities of Aram, even as all the tribes of Israel;	1 Proclamation La parole de Yahvé est au pays de Hadrak, à Damas elle fait halte. Car à Yahvéappartient la source d'Aram et toutes les tribus d'Israël.
2 Hamath also, which borders thereon, Tyre and Sidon, though they are very wise.	2 Hamat aussi, qui en est la frontière, (Tyr) et Sidon, dont la sagesse est grande.
3 Tyre has built herself a rampart, and heaped up silver like dust, and gold like the dirt of the streets.	3 Tyr s'est construit une forteresse, amoncelant l'argent comme de la poussière et l'or comme la bouedes rues.
4 But lo, the Lord will strip her of her possessions and hurl her wealth into the sea, and she shall be devoured by fire.	4 Voici que le Seigneur en prendra possession, en mer il défera sa puissance, elle-même sera dévoréepar le feu.
5 Ashkelon shall see it, and be afraid; Gaza too, and shall writhe in anguish; Ekron also, because its hopes are confounded. The king shall perish from Gaza; Ashkelon shall be uninhabited;	5 Ashqelôn verra et prendra peur, Gaza aussi, qui se tordra de douleur, et Eqrôn, car son esprit estconfondu. Le roi disparaîtra de Gaza, dans Ashqelôn, plus d'habitants,
6 a mongrel people shall dwell in Ashdod; and I will make an end of the pride of Philistia.	6 et un bâtard habitera Ashdod. Je détruirai l'orgueil du Philistin,
7 I will take away its blood from its mouth, and its abominations from between its teeth; it too shall be a remnant for our God; it shall be like a clan in Judah, and Ekron shall be like the Jebusites.	7 j'ôterai son sang de sa bouche, ses abominations d'entre ses dents. Lui aussi sera un reste pour notreDieu, il sera comme un familier dans Juda, Eqrôn sera comme un Jébuséen.
8 Then I will encamp at my house as a guard, so that none shall march to and fro; no oppressor shall again overrun them, for now I see with my own eyes.	8 Je camperai pour ma maison en avant-poste contre ceux qui vont et qui viennent, plus d'oppresseurpour passer sur eux, car maintenant mes yeux sont ouverts.
9 Rejoice greatly, O daughter of Zion! Shout aloud, O daughter of Jerusalem! Lo, your king comes to you; triumphant and victorious is he, humble and riding on an ass, on a colt the foal of an ass.	9 Exulte avec force, fille de Sion! Crie de joie, fille de Jérusalem! Voici que ton roi vient à toi: il estjuste et victorieux, humble, monté sur un âne, sur un ânon, le petit d'une ânesse.
10 I will cut off the chariot from Ephraim and the war horse from Jerusalem; and the battle bow shall be cut off, and he shall command peace to the nations; his dominion shall be from sea to sea, and from the River to the ends of the earth.	10 Il retranchera d'Ephraïm la charrerie et de Jérusalem les chevaux; l'arc de guerre sera retranché. Ilannoncera la paix aux nations. Son empire ira de la mer à la mer et du Fleuve aux extrémités de la terre.
11 As for you also, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will set your captives free from the waterless pit.	11 Toi aussi, pour le sang de ton alliance, j'ai renvoyé tes captifs de la fosse où il n'y a pas d'eau.
12 Return to your stronghold, O prisoners of hope; today I declare that I will restore to you double.	12 Revenez vers la place forte, captifs pleins d'espoir. Aujourd'hui même, je le déclare, c'est ledouble que je vais te rendre.
13 For I have bent Judah as my bow; I have made Ephraim its arrow. I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Greece, and wield you like a warrior's sword.	13 Car j'ai tendu pour moi Juda, j'ai garni l'arc avec Ephraïm; je vais exciter tes fils, Sion, contre tesfils, Yavân, et je ferai de toi comme l'épée d'un vaillant.
14 Then the LORD will appear over them, and his arrow go forth like lightning; the Lord GOD will sound the trumpet, and march forth in the whirlwinds of the south.	14 Alors Yahvé apparaîtra au-dessus d'eux et sa flèche jaillira comme l'éclair. (Le Seigneur) Yahvésonnera de la trompe, il s'avancera dans les ouragans du sud.
15 The LORD of hosts will protect them, and they shall devour and tread down the slingers; and they shall drink their blood like wine, and be full like a bowl, drenched like the corners of the altar.	15 Yahvé Sabaot sera leur protection, ils dévoreront, ils piétineront les pierres de fronde, ils boirontle sang comme si c'était du vin, ils en seront gorgés comme un vase à aspersions, comme les angles de l'autel.
16 On that day the LORD their God will save them for they are the flock of his people; for like the jewels of a crown they shall shine on his land.	16 Et il les sauvera, Yahvé leur Dieu, en ce jour-là, comme les brebis qui sont son peuple; oui, lespierres d'un diadème scintilleront sur sa terre.
17 Yea, how good and how fair it shall be! Grain shall make the young men flourish, and new wine the maidens.	17 Qu'il sera beau! Qu'il sera splendide! Le blé fera s'épanouir les jeunes gens et le vin doux, lesvierges.
