Zechariah 6

1 And again I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of bronze.	1 Di nuovo alzai gli occhi e vidi: ecco quattro carri uscivano tra due monti: i monti poi erano di bronzo.
2 The first chariot had red horses, the second black horses,	2 Al primo carro c’erano cavalli sauri, al secondo carro cavalli morelli,
3 the third white horses, and the fourth chariot dappled gray horses.	3 al terzo carro cavalli bianchi e al quarto carro cavalli storni, forti.
4 Then I said to the angel who talked with me, "What are these, my lord?"	4 Ripresi la parola e dissi all’angelo che parlava in me: «Che cosa sono questi, signore?»
5 And the angel answered me, "These are going forth to the four winds of heaven, after presenting themselves before the LORD of all the earth.	5 E l’angelo in risposta mi disse: «Questi sono coloro che escono ai quattro venti del cielo, dopo essere stati presso il signore di tutta la terra.
6 The chariot with the black horses goes toward the north country, the white ones go toward the west country, and the dappled ones go toward the south country."	6 I cavalli morelli escono verso il paese del nord e quelli bianchi partono dietro quelli e gli storni escono verso il paese del sud».
7 When the steeds came out, they were impatient to get off and patrol the earth. And he said, "Go, patrol the earth." So they patrolled the earth.	7 Intanto quei forti erano usciti e fremevano dal desiderio di andare a percorrere la terra. Ed egli disse: «Andate, percorrete la terra». E percorsero la terra.
8 Then he cried to me, "Behold, those who go toward the north country have set my Spirit at rest in the north country."	8 Allora egli mi fece un grido e mi disse: «Guarda quelli che escono verso il paese del nord: essi calmano il mio spirito nel paese del nord».
9 And the word of the LORD came to me:	9 Poi mi fu rivolta la parola di Jahvè:
10 "Take from the exiles Heldai, Tobijah, and Jedaiah, who have arrived from Babylon; and go the same day to the house of Josiah, the son of Zephaniah.	10 «Prendi dai deportati, cioè da Kheldai, da Tobia, e da Jedaia e vi andrai tu e da Giosia, figlio di Sofonia, che sono tornati da Babilonia in questo giorno
11 Take from them silver and gold, and make a crown, and set it upon the head of Joshua, the son of Jehozadak, the high priest;	11 prendi dunque argento e oro, fa’ una corona, mettila sul capo del gran sacerdote Giosuè, figlio di Jozadak,
12 and say to him, 'Thus says the LORD of hosts, "Behold, the man whose name is the Branch: for he shall grow up in his place, and he shall build the temple of the LORD.	12 e digli: “Così dice Jahvè degli eserciti: Ecco l’uomo che si chiama Germoglio, che germoglierà là dove è. Ed edificherà il tempio di Jahvè.
13 It is he who shall build the temple of the LORD, and shall bear royal honor, and shall sit and rule upon his throne. And there shall be a priest by his throne, and peaceful understanding shall be between them both."'	13 Egli edificherà il tempio di Jahvè: egli riceverà la maestà e siederà dominatore sul suo trono. Ci sarà un sacerdote alla sua destra e un pacifico accordo ci sarà tra i due.
14 And the crown shall be in the temple of the LORD as a reminder to Heldai, Tobijah, Jedaiah, and Josiah the son of Zephaniah.	14 Ma la corona per parte di Khelem e Tobia e Idaia e Giosia, Folio di Sofonia, resterà in memoria nel tempio di Jahvè.
15 "And those who are far off shall come and help to build the temple of the LORD; and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. And this shall come to pass, if you will diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God."	15 Coloro che sono lontani verranno ed edificheranno nel tempio di Jahvè. Saprete che Jahvè degli eserciti mi ha inviato a voi. E avverrà: se ascolterete seriamente la voce di Jahvè vostro Dio.»
