Zechariah 2

1 And I lifted my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand!	1 Levanté los ojos y vi cuatro cuernos.
2 Then I said, "Where are you going?" And he said to me, "To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length."	2 Pregunté al mensajero que me hablaba: —¿Qué son esos cuernos? Me respondió: —Son los cuernos que han dispersado a Judá, Israel y Jerusalén.
3 And behold, the angel who talked with me came forward, and another angel came forward to meet him,	3 El Señor me mostró cuatro herreros.
4 and said to him, "Run, say to that young man, 'Jerusalem shall be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and cattle in it.	4 Pregunté: —¿Qué andan haciendo esos herreros? Me respondió: —Son los cuernos que dispersaron a Judá hasta que nadie pudo levantar cabeza. Pero vinieron los herreros para espantarlos y expulsar los cuernos de los pueblos que habían alzado su poder contra la tierra de Judá para dispersarlo.
5 For I will be to her a wall of fire round about, says the LORD, and I will be the glory within her.'"	5 Levanté los ojos y vi un hombre que tenía en su mano un cordón de medir.
6 Ho! ho! Flee from the land of the north, says the LORD; for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heavens, says the LORD.	6 Le pregunté: —¿Adónde vas? Me respondió: —A medir Jerusalén para ver cuál es su anchura y cuál su longitud.
7 Ho! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.	7 El mensajero que me hablaba salió y vino otro mensajero a su encuentro.
8 For thus said the LORD of hosts, after his glory sent me to the nations who plundered you, for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye:	8 Me dijo: Vete corriendo y dile al oficial aquel: «Jerusalén será una ciudad abierta a causa de los muchos hombres y animales que habrá en ella;
9 "Behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you will know that the LORD of hosts has sent me.	9 yo le serviré de muralla de fuego alrededor y en ella seré su gloria».
10 Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion; for lo, I come and I will dwell in the midst of you, says the LORD.	10 ¡Ay, ay! Escapad del país del norte | —oráculo del Señor—, | pues os dispersé a los cuatro vientos del cielo | —oráculo del Señor—.
11 And many nations shall join themselves to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you.	11 ¡Ay! Escapa, Sión, | tú que habitas en Babilonia.
12 And the LORD will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem."	12 Pues esto dice el Señor del universo, | cuya Gloria me ha enviado a los pueblos | que os han expoliado: | «El que os toca a vosotros, | toca a la niña de mis ojos».
13 Be silent, all flesh, before the LORD; for he has roused himself from his holy dwelling.	13 Ahí voy con el puño en alto; | sus servidores tendrán botín; | y así reconocerán | que el Señor me ha enviado.
	14 Alégrate y goza, Sión, | pues voy a habitar en medio de ti | —oráculo del Señor—.
	15 Aquel día se asociarán al Señor | pueblos sin número; | ellos serán mi pueblo, | y habitaré en medio de ti. | Entonces reconocerás | que el Señor del universo | me ha enviado a ti.
	16 Judá será la herencia del Señor, | su lote en la tierra santa, | y volverá a elegir a Jerusalén.
	17 ¡Silencio todo el mundo | ante el Señor que se levanta | de su morada santa!
