1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Il Signore parlò a Mosè, dicendo:
2 "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan in its full extent),	2 « Da' quest'ordine ai figli d'Israele e di' loro: quando sarete entrati nella terra di Canaan ne avrete per mezzo della sorte preso possesso, essa sarà, limitata da questi confini.
3 your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern boundary shall be from the end of the Salt Sea on the east;	3 La parte del mezzogiorno comincerà dal deserto di Sin, vicino a Edom, e avrà per confini ad oriente il mar di Sale,
4 and your boundary shall turn south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its end shall be south of Kadesh-barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon;	4 poi girando al mezzodì della salita dello Scorpione, passerà per Senna e si estenderà al mezzogiorno, fino a Cadesbarne, poi continuerà fino al villaggio d'Adar, estendendosi fino ad Asemona,
5 and the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea.	5 per girare da Asemona fino al torrente d'Egitto e finire al lido del mare grande.
6 "For the western boundary, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 La parte occidentale comincerà al Mar grande e finirà allo stesso mare.
7 "This shall be your northern boundary: from the Great Sea you shall mark out your line to Mount Hor;	7 A settentrione i confini cominceranno dal Mar grande e arriveranno fino al monte Altissimo,
8 from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the entrance of Hamath, and the end of the boundary shall be at Zeded;	8 poi andranno verso Ernat fino ai confini di Sedada,
9 then the boundary shall extend to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your northern boundary.	9 e si stenderanno fino a Zefrona e al villaggio di Enan. Questi saranno i confini dalla parte di settentrione.
10 "You shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;	10 I confini orientali saran tracciati dal villaggio di Enan fino a Sefama.
11 and the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall go down, and reach to the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth on the east;	11 Da Sefama scenderanno a Rebla, di faccia alla fontana di Dafnim, poi si stenderanno ad oriente, fino al mare di Ceneret
12 and the boundary shall go down to the Jordan, and its end shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its boundaries all round."	12 giungeranno al Giordano e finalmente saran chiusi dal mare di Sale. Tale sarà il vostro territorio coi suoi confini d'ogni parte ».
13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, "This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe;	13 E Mose, trasmesso ai Figli d'Israele l'ordine, aggiunse: « Questa sarà la terra, di cui prenderete possesso a sorte e che il Signore ha ordinato si dia alle nove tribù e mezza,
14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben by fathers' houses and the tribe of the sons of Gad by their fathers' houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh;	14 giacchè la tribù dei figli di Ruben, secondo le sue famiglie, la tribù dei figli di Gad, secondo il numero delle sue parentele, e la metà della tribù di Manasse,
15 the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise."	15 cioè due tribù e mezza, han già ricevuta la loro parte al di là del Giordano, dirimpetto a Gerico, dal lato d'oriente ».
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 E il Signore disse a Mosè:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.	17 « Ecco i nomi di coloro che vi divideranno la terra: Eleazaro sacerdote, Giosuè figlio di Nun,
18 You shall take one leader of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.	18 e un principe di ciascuna tribù,
19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.	19 i nomi dei quali sono i seguenti: della tribù di Giuda, Caleb figlio di Iefone;
20 Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.	20 della tribù di Simeone, Samuele figlio di Ammiud;
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.	21 della tribù di Beniamino, Elidad figlio di Caselon;
22 Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.	22 della tribù dei figli di Dan, Bocci figlio di Iogli;
23 Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.	23 dei figli di Giuseppe, per la tribù di Manasse, Hanniel figlio di Efod;
24 And of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.	24 per la tribù di Efraim, Camuel figlio di Seftan;
25 Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Eli-zaphan the son of Parnach.	25 della tribù di Zàbulon, Elisafan figlio di Farnac;
26 Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.	26 della tribù di Issacar, il principe Faltiel figlio di Ozan;
27 And of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.	27 della tribù di Aser, Ahiud figlio di Salomi;
28 Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.	28 della tribù di Nettali, Fedael figlio di Ammiud ».
29 These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan."	29 Questi sono coloro ai quali il Signore comandò di fare la divisione della terra di Canaan tra i figli d'Israele.
