1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:
2 "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan in its full extent),	2 Befiehl den Israeliten und sag ihnen, wenn ihr nach Kanaan kommt: Das ist das Land, das euch als erblicher Besitz zufällt, Kanaan in seinen jetzigen Grenzen.
3 your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern boundary shall be from the end of the Salt Sea on the east;	3 Eure Südgrenze soll von der Wüste Zin aus an Edom entlang verlaufen, und zwar soll sie vom Ende des Salzmeers im Osten ausgehen.
4 and your boundary shall turn south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its end shall be south of Kadesh-barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon;	4 Dann soll eure Grenze südlich des Skorpionenpasses sich bis Zin erstrecken. Ihre Ausläufer sollen bis südlich von Kadesch-Barnea reichen. Von dort soll sie sich bis Hazar-Addar und bis Azmon hinziehen.
5 and the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea.	5 Von Azmon soll die Grenze zum Grenzbach Ägyptens abbiegen und die Ausläufer der Grenze sollen bis zum Meer reichen.
6 "For the western boundary, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western boundary.	6 Eure Grenze im Westen soll das Große Meer mit seinem Strand sein. Das sei eure Westgrenze.
7 "This shall be your northern boundary: from the Great Sea you shall mark out your line to Mount Hor;	7 Das sei eure Nordgrenze: Vom Großen Meer sollt ihr euch eine Linie bis zum Berg Hor abstecken,
8 from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the entrance of Hamath, and the end of the boundary shall be at Zeded;	8 und vom Berg Hor eine Linie bis Lebo-Hamat. Die Ausläufer dieser Grenze sollen bis Zedad reichen.
9 then the boundary shall extend to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your northern boundary.	9 Dann soll die Grenze weitergehen bis Sifron und ihre Ausläufer sollen bis Hazar-Enan reichen. Das sei eure Nordgrenze.
10 "You shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham;	10 Als Ostgrenze sollt ihr eine Linie von Hazar-Enan bis Schefam abstecken.
11 and the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall go down, and reach to the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth on the east;	11 Von Schefam soll die Grenze nach Ribla östlich von Ajin hinuntersteigen. Dann soll die Grenze zum Rand des Gebirges östlich des Sees von Kinneret hinuntergehen.
12 and the boundary shall go down to the Jordan, and its end shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its boundaries all round."	12 Dann soll die Grenze zum Jordan hinunterführen und ihre Ausläufer sollen bis zum Salzmeer reichen. Das seien die Grenzen rings um euer Land.
13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, "This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe;	13 Da befahl Mose den Israeliten: Das ist das Land, das ihr durch das Los als Erbbesitz verteilen sollt. Der Herr hat befohlen, es den neuneinhalb Stämmen zu geben;
14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben by fathers' houses and the tribe of the sons of Gad by their fathers' houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh;	14 denn der Stamm der Rubeniter mit seinen Sippen und der Stamm der Gaditer mit seinen Sippen und der halbe Stamm Manasse haben ihren Erbbesitz schon erhalten.
15 the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise."	15 Diese zweieinhalb Stämme haben ihren Erbbesitz jenseits des Jordan erhalten, östlich von Jericho.
16 The LORD said to Moses,	16 Der Herr sprach zu Mose:
17 "These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.	17 Das sind die Namen der Männer, die das Land unter euch verteilen sollen: der Priester Eleasar und Josua, der Sohn Nuns.
18 You shall take one leader of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance.	18 Außerdem nehmt zur Verteilung des Landes je einen führenden Mann aus jedem Stamm hinzu!
19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.	19 Das sind die Namen dieser Männer: für den Stamm Juda Kaleb, der Sohn Jefunnes;
20 Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud.	20 für den Stamm der Simeoniter Schemuël, der Sohn Ammihuds;
21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon.	21 für den Stamm Benjamin Elidad, der Sohn Kislons;
22 Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli.	22 für den Stamm der Daniter der Anführer Bukki, der Sohn Joglis;
23 Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod.	23 bei den Josefstämmen für den Stamm der Manassiter der Anführer Hanniël, der Sohn Efods,
24 And of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan.	24 und für den Stamm der Efraimiter der Anführer Kemuël, der Sohn Schiftans;
25 Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Eli-zaphan the son of Parnach.	25 für den Stamm der Sebuloniter der Anführer Elizafan, der Sohn Parnachs;
26 Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan.	26 für den Stamm der Issachariter der Anführer Paltiël, der Sohn Asans;
27 And of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi.	27 für den Stamm der Ascheriter der Anführer Ahihud, der Sohn Schelomis;
28 Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.	28 für den Stamm der Naftaliter der Anführer Pedahel, der Sohn Ammihuds.
29 These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan."	29 Das waren die Männer, die der Herr dazu verpflichtete, in Kanaan den Israeliten ihren Erbanteil zuzuteilen.
