Ezekiel 24

1 In the ninth year, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, the word of the LORD came to me:	1 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich am zehnten Tage des zehnten Monats im neunten Jahr:
2 "Son of man, write down the name of this day, this very day. The king of Babylon has laid siege to Jerusalem this very day.	2 "Menschensohn, schreibe dir das Datum eben dieses heutigen Tages genau auf! Denn am selben Tage warf sich der König von Babel auf Jerusalem.
3 And utter an allegory to the rebellious house and say to them, Thus says the Lord GOD: Set on the pot, set it on, pour in water also;	3 Dem Hause der Widerspenstigkeit erzähle eine Gleichnisrede und sage zu ihm: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Stelle einen Kochtopf auf, stelle ihn auf und gieße auch Wasser hinein!
4 put in it the pieces of flesh, all the good pieces, the thigh and the shoulder; fill it with choice bones.	4 Lege die entsprechenden Fleischstücke hinein, lauter gute Stücke, Lenden und Schulter, mit den besten Knochenstücken fülle ihn an!
5 Take the choicest one of the flock, pile the logs under it; boil its pieces, seethe also its bones in it.	5 Nimm vom wertvollsten Kleinvieh, auch Holz schichte ringsum darunter! Seine Fleischstücke siede, auch seine Knochenstücke laß kochen darin!"
6 "Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the bloody city, to the pot whose rust is in it, and whose rust has not gone out of it! Take out of it piece after piece, without making any choice.	6 Darum spricht der Gebieter und Herr: "Wehe der Stadt voll Blutschuld, dem Topf, an dem Rost sitzt und dessen Rost nicht weggeht! Nimm ein Stück ums andere heraus, ohne daß man darüber das Los wirft!
7 For the blood she has shed is still in the midst of her; she put it on the bare rock, she did not pour it upon the ground to cover it with dust.	7 Denn ihr Blut bleibt in ihrer Mitte. Auf den kahlen Felsen hat sie es geschüttet, nicht auf die Erde gegossen, um es mit Staub zu bedecken.
8 To rouse my wrath, to take vengeance, I have set on the bare rock the blood she has shed, that it may not be covered.	8 Um Grimm heraufzuführen, um Rache zu üben, brachte ich das in ihr vergossene Blut auf den kahlen Fels, daß es nicht zugedeckt werde."
9 Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: Woe to the bloody city! I also will make the pile great.	9 Darum spricht der Gebieter und Herr: "Wehe der Blutstadt! So will auch ich einen großen Holzstoß errichten!
10 Heap on the logs, kindle the fire, boil well the flesh, and empty out the broth, and let the bones be burned up.	10 Holz in Menge schaffe ich herbei, zünde das Feuer an, mache die Fleischstücke gar, gieße die Brühe ab, daß die Knochen verbrennen.
11 Then set it empty upon the coals, that it may become hot, and its copper may burn, that its filthiness may be melted in it, its rust consumed.	11 Dann stelle ich den Topf leer auf seine Kohlen, damit er erhitze, sein Erz glühend werde und seine Unreinheit in ihm wegschmelze, sein Rost verschwinde.
12 In vain I have wearied myself; its thick rust does not go out of it by fire.	12 Doch sein vieler Rost geht nicht von ihm weg im Feuer, das seinen Rost beseitigen soll.
13 Its rust is your filthy lewdness. Because I would have cleansed you and you were not cleansed from your filthiness, you shall not be cleansed any more till I have satisfied my fury upon you.	13 Weil du dich durch Unzucht befleckt hast und ich dich reinigen wollte, du aber doch nicht rein wurdest von deiner Unreinheit, so sollst du fürderhin nicht mehr rein werden, bis daß ich meinen Ingrimm an dir gestillt habe.
14 I the LORD have spoken; it shall come to pass, I will do it; I will not go back, I will not spare, I will not repent; according to your ways and your doings I will judge you, says the Lord GOD."	14 Ich, der Herr, habe gesprochen. Es kommt, und ich greife ein! Ich gebe nicht nach, übe keine Schonung und kenne keine Reue. Nach deinem Wandel und nach deinen Taten richte ich dich" - Spruch des Gebieters und Herrn.
15 Also the word of the LORD came to me:	15 Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:
16 "Son of man, behold, I am about to take the delight of your eyes away from you at a stroke; yet you shall not mourn or weep nor shall your tears run down.	16 "Menschensohn, siehe, ich raffe dir die Wonne deiner Augen durch plötzlichen Tod hinweg; du aber sollst nicht klagen und weinen, keine Tränen dürfen dir kommen.
17 Sigh, but not aloud; make no mourning for the dead. Bind on your turban, and put your shoes on your feet; do not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of mourners."	17 Seufze nur still wie die Toten, veranstalte keine Trauerkundgebung, binde dir deinen Kopfbund um und lege deinen Füßen die Schuhe an; deinen Bart verhülle nicht und iß kein Trauerbrot!"
18 So I spoke to the people in the morning, and at evening my wife died. And on the next morning I did as I was commanded.	18 Ich redete am Morgen zu den Leuten. Da starb meine Frau am Abend; ich aber tat am folgenden Morgen, wie mir befohlen war.
19 And the people said to me, "Will you not tell us what these things mean for us, that you are acting thus?"	19 Da wandten sich die Leute an mich: "Willst du uns nicht mitteilen, was das für uns zu bedeuten hat, daß du so handelst?"
20 Then I said to them, "The word of the LORD came to me:	20 Da antwortete ich ihnen: "Das Wort des Herrn erging an mich:
21 'Say to the house of Israel, Thus says the Lord GOD: Behold, I will profane my sanctuary, the pride of your power, the delight of your eyes, and the desire of your soul; and your sons and your daughters whom you left behind shall fall by the sword.	21 Rede zum Hause Israel: So spricht der Gebieter und Herr: Wohlan, ich entweihe mein Heiligtum, euren stolzen Hort, die Lust eurer Augen und die Sehnsucht eurer Seele. Eure Söhne und Töchter, die ihr zurückließet, werden durch das Schwert fallen.
22 And you shall do as I have done; you shall not cover your lips, nor eat the bread of mourners.	22 Da werdet ihr handeln, wie ich gehandelt habe: Euren Bart werdet ihr nicht verhüllen und kein Trauerbrot essen.
23 Your turbans shall be on your heads and your shoes on your feet; you shall not mourn or weep, but you shall pine away in your iniquities and groan to one another.	23 Euren Kopfbund werdet ihr auf euren Häuptern und eure Sandalen an euren Füßen tragen. Ihr werdet weder klagen noch weinen, sondern ihr werdet ob eurer Schuld dahinschwinden und euch gegenseitig anstöhnen.
24 Thus shall Ezekiel be to you a sign; according to all that he has done you shall do. When this comes, then you will know that I am the Lord GOD.'	24 Dann wird Ezechiel euch zum Wahrzeichen sein; genau wie er getan, so werdet auch ihr tun, wenn es eintrifft. Alsdann werdet ihr einsehen, daß ich der Gebieter und Herr bin.
25 "And you, son of man, on the day when I take from them their stronghold, their joy and glory, the delight of their eyes and their heart's desire, and also their sons and daughters,	25 Du aber, Menschensohn, merke: am Tage, da ich ihnen ihre Zufluchtsstätte wegnehme, ihre herrliche Freude, die Lust ihrer Augen und das Verlangen ihrer Seele, dazu ihre Söhne und ihre Töchter -
26 on that day a fugitive will come to you to report to you the news.	26 an jenem Tage wird ein Flüchtling zu dir kommen, um die Kunde zu melden.
27 On that day your mouth will be opened to the fugitive, and you shall speak and be no longer dumb. So you will be a sign to them; and they will know that I am the LORD."	27 An jenem Tage wird sich dein Mund beim Eintreffen des Flüchtlings auftun; reden wirst du und brauchst nicht mehr zu verstummen. Zum Wahrzeichen wirst du ihnen sein. Dann werden sie erkennen, daß ich der Herr bin."
