1 The LORD said to Moses on Mount Sinai,	1 Der Herr sprach zu Moses auf dem Berge Sinai:
2 "Say to the people of Israel, When you come into the land which I give you, the land shall keep a sabbath to the LORD.	2 "Sprich zu den Söhnen Israels und befiehl ihnen: Wenn ihr in das Land kommt, das ich euch verleihe, dann soll das Land eine Ruhezeit für den Herrn halten.
3 Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruits;	3 Sechs Jahre lang sollst du dein Feld besäen und sechs Jahre deinen Weinberg beschneiden und ihren Ertrag einheimsen.
4 but in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the LORD; you shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.	4 Doch im siebten Jahr soll heilige Ruhezeit sein für das Land, ein Sabbat für den Herrn; da darfst du dein Feld nicht besäen und deinen Weinberg nicht beschneiden.
5 What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your undressed vine you shall not gather; it shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.	5 Den Nachwuchs deiner vorigen Ernte darfst du nicht einbringen, und die Trauben deiner unbeschnittenen Weinstöcke nicht lesen; es sei ein Jahr heiliger Ruhe für das Land.
6 The sabbath of the land shall provide food for you, for yourself and for your male and female slaves and for your hired servant and the sojourner who lives with you;	6 Was beim Feiern des Landes von selbst wächst, soll euch zur Nahrung dienen, dir, deinem Sklaven, deiner Sklavin, deinem Lohnarbeiter, deinem Beisassen, die alle bei dir weilen.
7 for your cattle also and for the beasts that are in your land all its yield shall be for food.	7 Auch deinem Vieh und dem Wild in deinem Lande diene das, was es trägt, zur Nahrung.
8 "And you shall count seven weeks of years, seven times seven years, so that the time of the seven weeks of years shall be to you forty-nine years.	8 Zähle dir sieben Sabbatjahre, also siebenmal sieben Jahre, so ergeben sich, als Zeit der sieben Sabbatjahre, neunundvierzig Jahre.
9 Then you shall send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the day of atonement you shall send abroad the trumpet throughout all your land.	9 Dann sollst du im siebten Monat am zehnten Monatstag die Lärmposaune ertönen lassen; am Versöhnungstag sollt ihr in eurem ganzen Land eine Posaune ertönen lassen.
10 And you shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants; it shall be a jubilee for you, when each of you shall return to his property and each of you shall return to his family.	10 Ihr sollt das fünfzigste Jahr weihen und sollt Freilassung im Land für all seine Bewohner verkünden! Es soll euch das Jobeljahr sein! Ein jeder soll sein Besitztum wieder erhalten und ein jeder zu seiner Sippe zurückkehren!
11 A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be to you; in it you shall neither sow, nor reap what grows of itself, nor gather the grapes from the undressed vines.	11 Ein Jobeljahr soll das fünfzigste Jahr für euch sein! Da dürft ihr nicht säen, den Nachwuchs nicht ernten und die unbeschnittenen Weinstöcke nicht ablesen!
12 For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat what it yields out of the field.	12 Denn ein Jobeljahr ist es, als heilig soll es euch gelten! Nur vom Felde weg dürft ihr seinen Ertrag essen.
13 "In this year of jubilee each of you shall return to his property.	13 In einem solchen Jobeljahr soll ein jeder von euch wieder zu seinem Besitz kommen.
14 And if you sell to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.	14 Verkaufst du deinem Nächsten etwas oder erwirbst du etwas aus dessen Hand, dann übervorteile nicht einer den anderen.
15 According to the number of years after the jubilee, you shall buy from your neighbor, and according to the number of years for crops he shall sell to you.	15 Nach der Zahl der Jahre seit einem Jobeljahr sollst du deinem Nächsten etwas abkaufen, und er soll dir nach der Zahl der Ertragsjahre etwas verkaufen.
16 If the years are many you shall increase the price, and if the years are few you shall diminish the price, for it is the number of the crops that he is selling to you.	16 Sind es noch viele Jahre, sollst du seinen Preis erhöhen; sind es weniger Jahre, sollst du seinen Preis niedriger stellen; denn er verkauft dir nur eine Anzahl von Jahreserträgen.
17 You shall not wrong one another, but you shall fear your God; for I am the LORD your God.	17 Niemand darf seinen Nächsten übervorteilen; fürchte dich vor deinem Gott; denn ich bin der Herr, euer Gott!
18 "Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and perform them; so you will dwell in the land securely.	18 So erfüllt denn meine Satzungen, beobachtet meine Gebote und haltet sie; dann dürft ihr das Land in Sicherheit bewohnen.
19 The land will yield its fruit, and you will eat your fill, and dwell in it securely.	19 Das Land wird seine Frucht tragen; ihr könnt euch satt essen und dürft dort in Sicherheit wohnen.
20 And if you say, 'What shall we eat in the seventh year, if we may not sow or gather in our crop?'	20 Wenn ihr aber fragt: Was sollen wir denn im siebten Jahr essen? Wir säen ja nicht, und wir ernten nicht unseren Ertrag, so sage ich:
21 I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, so that it will bring forth fruit for three years.	21 Ich werde meinen Segen im sechsten Jahr aufbieten, so daß es den Ertrag für drei Jahre abwirft.
22 When you sow in the eighth year, you will be eating old produce; until the ninth year, when its produce comes in, you shall eat the old.	22 Sät ihr dann im achten Jahre, werdet ihr noch von dem alten Ertrag zu essen haben; bis ins neunte Jahr, bis dessen Ernte kommt, werdet ihr noch vom alten essen können.
23 The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and sojourners with me.	23 Das Land darf nicht endgültig verkauft werden; denn es gehört mir! Ihr seid nur Fremdlinge und Beisassen bei mir.
24 And in all the country you possess, you shall grant a redemption of the land.	24 Im ganzen Lande sollt ihr also eine Wiedereinlösung des Landes möglich machen!
25 "If your brother becomes poor, and sells part of his property, then his next of kin shall come and redeem what his brother has sold.	25 Wenn dein Bruder verarmt ist und von seinem Besitz etwas verkauft hat, dann soll sein nächster Verwandter als sein Einlöser auftreten und den Verkauf seines Bruders wieder einlösen.
26 If a man has no one to redeem it, and then himself becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it,	26 Hat aber jemand keinen Einlöser, jedoch die nötigen Mittel zur Einlösung,
27 let him reckon the years since he sold it and pay back the overpayment to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.	27 so bringe er die Jahre seit seinem Verkauf in Anrechnung; was darüber hinausgeht, zahle er an den zurück, dem er (das Feld) verkauft hat; so kommt er wieder zu seinem Eigentum.
28 But if he has not sufficient means to get it back for himself, then what he sold shall remain in the hand of him who bought it until the year of jubilee; in the jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.	28 Wenn aber die Mittel nicht reichen, die ihm zur Wiedererlangung notwendig sind, dann bleibt das verkaufte Feld bis zum Jobeljahr in des Käufers Hand; im Jobeljahr aber wird es frei, und er kommt wieder zu seinem Besitztum.
29 "If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, he may redeem it within a whole year after its sale; for a full year he shall have the right of redemption.	29 Verkauft jemand ein Wohnhaus in einer ummauerten Stadt, so gilt das Einlösungsrecht nur bis zum Ende eines Jahres seit dem Verkauf; nur zeitweilig gilt also die Einlösung.
30 If it is not redeemed within a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations; it shall not be released in the jubilee.	30 Läuft aber das volle Jahr ab, ohne daß er eingelöst hat, dann fällt das Haus in einer ummauerten Stadt als dauerndes Eigentum für alle Geschlechter an den Käufer; es wird im Jobeljahr nicht frei.
31 But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country; they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the jubilee.	31 Häuser in den Ortschaften, die keine Mauer ringsum haben, seien zum Feldbesitz gerechnet. Für sie gilt die Einlösung, und sie werden im Jobeljahr frei.
32 Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.	32 Was die Levitenstädte betrifft, nämlich die Häuser in den Städten, die ihnen gehören, so besteht hier ein immerwährendes Einlösungsrecht.
33 And if one of the Levites does not exercise his right of redemption, then the house that was sold in a city of their possession shall be released in the jubilee; for the houses in the cities of the Levites are their possession among the people of Israel.	33 Verzichtet aber einer von den Leviten auf die Einlösung, so wird ein (von ihm) verkauftes Haus, falls es in der Stadt liegt, zu der er gehört, im Jobeljahr frei. Denn die Häuser der Levitenstädte sind Erbbesitz inmitten der Söhne Israels.
34 But the fields of common land belonging to their cities may not be sold; for that is their perpetual possession.	34 Das zu ihren Städten gehörige Weideland darf nicht verkauft werden, denn es ist ihr Erbbesitz für immer.
35 "And if your brother becomes poor, and cannot maintain himself with you, you shall maintain him; as a stranger and a sojourner he shall live with you.	35 Verarmt dein Bruder, und gerät seine Existenz neben dir ins Wanken, dann sollst du ihn unterstützen wie einen Fremdling und Beisassen, so daß er neben dir leben kann.
36 Take no interest from him or increase, but fear your God; that your brother may live beside you.	36 Du darfst von ihm nicht Zins und Zuschlag nehmen, sondern sollst dich fürchten vor deinem Gott, so daß dein Bruder neben dir leben kann.
37 You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.	37 Du darfst ihm also dein Geld nicht um Zins ausleihen und Lebensmittel nicht um einen Zuschlag.
38 I am the LORD your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.	38 Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott, der euch aus dem Ägypterland herausgeführt hat, um euch das Land Kanaan zu geben und euer Gott zu sein!
39 "And if your brother becomes poor beside you, and sells himself to you, you shall not make him serve as a slave:	39 Verarmt dein Bruder neben dir und verkauft er sich dir, dann sollst du ihn nicht Sklavendienste tun lassen.
40 he shall be with you as a hired servant and as a sojourner. He shall serve with you until the year of the jubilee;	40 Wie ein Tagelöhner, wie ein Beisasse sei er bei dir; bis zum Jobeljahr diene er dir!
41 then he shall go out from you, he and his children with him, and go back to his own family, and return to the possession of his fathers.	41 Dann soll er mit seinen Kindern frei von dir fortgehen und zu seiner Sippe zurückkehren; auch gelange er wieder in den Grundbesitz seiner Väter!
42 For they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as slaves.	42 Denn meine Knechte sind die, die ich aus dem Ägypterland fortgeführt habe; sie dürfen nicht in die Sklaverei verkauft werden.
43 You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.	43 Herrsche nicht über ihn mit Härte und fürchte dich vor deinem Gott!
44 As for your male and female slaves whom you may have: you may buy male and female slaves from among the nations that are round about you.	44 Sind euch Knechte und Mägde nötig, so kauft von den Heidenvölkern rings um euch Sklaven und Sklavinnen!
45 You may also buy from among the strangers who sojourn with you and their families that are with you, who have been born in your land; and they may be your property.	45 Auch von den Kindern der Beisassen, die unter euch weilen, mögt ihr kaufen, ferner von deren Nachkommen bei euch, die sie in eurem Land gezeugt haben; sie dürfen euer Besitz werden.
46 You may bequeath them to your sons after you, to inherit as a possession for ever; you may make slaves of them, but over your brethren the people of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.	46 Ihr könnt sie auch auf eure Kinder vererben, daß diese sie zum immerwährenden Eigentum haben. Sie dürft ihr Sklavendienste tun lassen; aber über eure israelitischen Brüder sollt ihr untereinander nicht mit Härte herrschen.
47 "If a stranger or sojourner with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him becomes poor and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner with you, or to a member of the stranger's family,	47 Kommt ein Fremder oder Beisasse bei dir zu Vermögen, während dein Bruder neben ihm verarmt und sich dem Fremden oder Beisassen neben dir oder einem Abkömmling einer fremden Sippschaft verkauft,
48 then after he is sold he may be redeemed; one of his brothers may redeem him,	48 So soll es für ihn nach dem Verkauf eine Auslösung geben; einer seiner Brüder möge ihn loskaufen!
49 or his uncle, or his cousin may redeem him, or a near kinsman belonging to his family may redeem him; or if he grows rich he may redeem himself.	49 Auch sein Oheim oder seines Oheims Sohn oder sonst einer von seinen nächsten Verwandten aus seiner Sippe möge ihn auslösen; auch er selbst darf es tun, wenn er wieder Mittel dazu hat.
50 He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year when he sold himself to him until the year of jubilee, and the price of his release shall be according to the number of years; the time he was with his owner shall be rated as the time of a hired servant.	50 Er soll mit dem, der ihn gekauft hat, die Zeit von dem Jahr ab, da er sich ihm verkaufte, bis zum Jobeljahr berechnen, und der Verkaufspreis soll auf die Zahl der Jahre verteilt werden; sie gelte ihm wie die Dienstzeit eines Lohnarbeiters!
51 If there are still many years, according to them he shall refund out of the price paid for him the price for his redemption.	51 Sind es noch viele Jahre, so soll er einen entsprechenden Betrag der Kaufsumme als Lösegeld erstatten.
52 If there remain but a few years until the year of jubilee, he shall make a reckoning with him; according to the years of service due from him he shall refund the money for his redemption.	52 Sind es aber nur noch wenige Jahre, die bis zum Jobeljahr verbleiben, so berechne er sie entsprechend; gemäß seinen Jahren erstatte er sein Lösegeld wieder.
53 As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him; he shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.	53 Wie ein Tagelöhner soll er Jahr um Jahr bei ihm arbeiten! Jener darf nicht unter deinen Augen mit Härte herrschen über ihn.
54 And if he is not redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the year of jubilee, he and his children with him.	54 Wenn er aber auf diese Art nicht ausgelöst wird, so werde er im Jobeljahr frei samt seinen Kindern!
55 For to me the people of Israel are servants, they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am the LORD your God.	55 Denn mir gehören die Israeliten als Knechte. Meine Knechte sind sie, die ich aus Ägypten geführt habe! Ich bin der Herr, euer Gott!"
