Leviticus 20

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 O Senhor falou a Moisés, dizendo:
2 "Say to the people of Israel, Any man of the people of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who gives any of his children to Molech shall be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.	2 Dirás isto aos filhos de Israel: Se algum homem dentre os filhos de Israel e dos estrangeiros, que habitam em Israel, oferecer seus filhos a Moloch, será punido de morte: o povo o apedrejará.
3 I myself will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, defiling my sanctuary and profaning my holy name.	3 Eu porei o meu rosto contra ele, e o cortarei do meio do seu povo, porque deu de seus filhos a Moloch, profanou o meu santuário e manchou o meu santo nome.
4 And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 Porém, se o povo da terra, descuidando-se e, como que tendo em pouco o meu mandato, deixar ir o homem que deu de seus filhos a Moloch, e não quiser matá-lo,
5 then I will set my face against that man and against his family, and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in playing the harlot after Molech.	5 porei o meu rosto contra esse homem e contra a sua família, e cortarei do meio do seu povo assim a ele, como a todos os que, como ele, se prostituem a Moloch.
6 "If a person turns to mediums and wizards, playing the harlot after them, I will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.	6 A pessoa que se dirigir a magos e adivinhos, e fornicar com eles, eu porei o meu rosto contra ela, e a exterminarei do meio do seu povo.
7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God.	7 Santificai-vos e sede santos, porque eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus.
8 Keep my statutes, and do them; I am the LORD who sanctify you.	8 Guardai os meus preceitos, e cumpri-os. Eu sou o Senhor que vos santifico.
9 For every one who curses his father or his mother shall be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother, his blood is upon him.	9 O que amaldiçoar seu pai ou sua mãe, seja punido de morte; amaldiçoou o pai e a mãe: o seu sangue caia sobre ele.
10 "If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.	10 Se algum (homem) se tomar réu de fornicação com a mulher de outro, se cometer adultério com a mulher do seu próximo, sejam punidos de morte, assim o adúltero como a adúltera.
11 The man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	11 O que peca com sua madrasta, e descobre (assim) a nudez de seu pai, sejam ambos punidos de morte: o seu sangue caia sobre eles.
12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed incest, their blood is upon them.	12 Se algum pecar com sua nora, morram ambos, porque cometeram um crime: o seu sangue caía sobre elas.
13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	13 Se um homem pecar com um homem, como se ele fosse uma mulher, ambos cometeram uma coisa execranda, sejam punidos de morte: o seu sangue caia sobre eles.
14 If a man takes a wife and her mother also, it is wickedness; they shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you.	14 Aquele que toma por mulheres a filha e a mãe, cometeu um crime; será queimado vivo com elas, e não será tolerada entre vós tão grande iniquidade.
15 If a man lies with a beast, he shall be put to death; and you shall kill the beast.	15 Aquele que peca com um animal grande ou pequeno, seja punido de morte; matai também o animal.
16 If a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	16 A mulher que pecar com qualquer animal, será morta juntamente com ele: o seu sangue caia sobre eles.
17 "If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing, and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, he shall bear his iniquity.	17 Se um tomar a sua irmã, filha de seu pai e filha de sua mãe, e vir a sua nudez, e ela vir a nudez do irmão, ambos fizeram uma coisa execranda: serão exterminados do seu povo, por terem descoberto um ao outro a sua nudez: levarão a sua iniquidade.
18 If a man lies with a woman having her sickness, and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; both of them shall be cut off from among their people.	18 Se um se juntar com uma mulher, no tempo da menstruação e descobrir a sua nudez, e ela se deixar ver neste estado, ambos serão exterminados do meio do seu povo.
19 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister or of your father's sister, for that is to make naked one's near kin; they shall bear their iniquity.	19 Não descobrirás a nudez de tua tia materna ou paterna; o que fizer isto, descobriu a ignominia de sua própria carne; ambos levarão a sua iniquidade.
20 If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall bear their sin, they shall die childless.	20 Se um pecar com a mulher de seu tio paterno ou materno, e descobrir a nudez de seu tio; ambos levarão o seu pecado; morram sem filhos.
21 If a man takes his brother's wife, it is impurity; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness, they shall be childless.	21 O que tomar a mulher de seu irmão, fez uma coisa ilícita: descobriu a nudez de seu irmão; não terão filhos.
22 "You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.	22 Guardai as minhas leis e os meus mandamentos, ponde-os em prática, a fim de que a terra em que estais para entrar e para habitar, não vos vomite também a vós.
23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.	23 Não caminheis segundo os costumes das nações que eu estou para expulsar da vossa vista, porque fizeram todas estas coisas, e eu as abominei.
24 But I have said to you, 'You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am the LORD your God, who have separated you from the peoples.	24 Mas eu vos digo: Possuireis esta terra, a qual eu vos darei em herança, terra onde corre o leite e o mel. Eu sou o Senhor vosso Deus, que vos separei de todos os outros povos.
25 You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.	25 Separai, pois, também os animais puros dos impuros, e as aves puras das impuras; não manchas as vossas pessoas com os animais, com as aves, e com tudo o que se move sobre a terra, e que eu vos declarei ser impuro.
26 You shall be holy to me; for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.	26 Sereis para mim santos, porque Eu, o Senhor, sou santo, e vos separei de todos os outros povos, para serdes meus.
27 "A man or a woman who is a medium or a wizard shall be put to death; they shall be stoned with stones, their blood shall be upon them."	27 O homem ou mulher em que houver espírito pitónico ou de adivinho, seja punido de morte. Apedreja-los-ão: o seu sangue caia sobre eles.
