Leviticus 20

1 The LORD said to Moses,	1 Így szólt továbbá az Úr Mózeshez:
2 "Say to the people of Israel, Any man of the people of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, who gives any of his children to Molech shall be put to death; the people of the land shall stone him with stones.	2 »Ezt mondd Izrael fiainak: Ha valaki, Izrael fiai vagy az Izraelben lakó jövevények közül, odaadja gyermekét a Molok bálványnak: halállal lakoljon, kövezze agyon a föld népe.
3 I myself will set my face against that man, and will cut him off from among his people, because he has given one of his children to Molech, defiling my sanctuary and profaning my holy name.	3 Én ugyanis ellene fordítom arcomat, s kiirtom népéből, mert odaadta gyermekét a Moloknak, s tisztátalanná tette szentélyemet, s megszentségtelenítette szent nevemet.
4 And if the people of the land do at all hide their eyes from that man, when he gives one of his children to Molech, and do not put him to death,	4 Ha pedig a föld népe nem törődik vele, s mintegy kevésbe veszi parancsomat és hagyja azt az embert, aki odaadta gyermekét a Moloknak, s nem öli meg:
5 then I will set my face against that man and against his family, and will cut them off from among their people, him and all who follow him in playing the harlot after Molech.	5 akkor én fordítom arcomat az ellen az ember ellen s rokonsága ellen, s kiirtom népéből őt és mindazokat, akik egyetértettek vele a Molokkal való paráználkodásban.
6 "If a person turns to mediums and wizards, playing the harlot after them, I will set my face against that person, and will cut him off from among his people.	6 Ha valaki a halottidézőkhöz s a jósokhoz fordul, s paráználkodik velük: ellene fordítom arcomat, s kiirtom népéből.
7 Consecrate yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am the LORD your God.	7 Szentül viselkedjetek, és szentek legyetek, mert én, az Úr, vagyok a ti Istenetek!
8 Keep my statutes, and do them; I am the LORD who sanctify you.	8 Tartsátok meg parancsaimat, és cselekedjetek szerintük: én, az Úr, szentséget kívánok tőletek!
9 For every one who curses his father or his mother shall be put to death; he has cursed his father or his mother, his blood is upon him.	9 Ha valaki megátkozza atyját vagy anyját, halállal lakoljon; atyját vagy anyját átkozta: vére legyen rajta.
10 "If a man commits adultery with the wife of his neighbor, both the adulterer and the adulteress shall be put to death.	10 Ha valaki paráználkodik másnak a feleségével és házasságtörést követ el felebarátja feleségével: halállal lakoljon a házasságtörő férfi is, a házasságtörő asszony is.
11 The man who lies with his father's wife has uncovered his father's nakedness; both of them shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	11 Ha valaki a mostohaanyjával hál, és így felfedi atyja szemérmét: halállal lakoljon mind a kettő, vérük legyen rajtuk.
12 If a man lies with his daughter-in-law, both of them shall be put to death; they have committed incest, their blood is upon them.	12 Ha valaki a menyével hál: haljon meg mind a kettő; iszonyú bűnt követtek el, vérük legyen rajtuk.
13 If a man lies with a male as with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	13 Ha valaki férfival hál asszonnyal való hálás módjára: förtelmességet követett el mind a kettő, halállal lakoljanak, vérük legyen rajtuk.
14 If a man takes a wife and her mother also, it is wickedness; they shall be burned with fire, both he and they, that there may be no wickedness among you.	14 Ha valaki feleségül veszi a lányt, s hozzá annak az anyját: nagy vétket követett el, elevenen égessék el velük együtt, ne maradjon ilyen nagy bűn közöttetek.
15 If a man lies with a beast, he shall be put to death; and you shall kill the beast.	15 Ha valaki marhával vagy más állattal közösül: halállal lakoljon, s öljétek meg az állatot is;
16 If a woman approaches any beast and lies with it, you shall kill the woman and the beast; they shall be put to death, their blood is upon them.	16 ha asszony valamilyen állat alá fekszik: öljék meg azzal együtt, vérük legyen rajtuk.
17 "If a man takes his sister, a daughter of his father or a daughter of his mother, and sees her nakedness, and she sees his nakedness, it is a shameful thing, and they shall be cut off in the sight of the children of their people; he has uncovered his sister's nakedness, he shall bear his iniquity.	17 Ha valaki elveszi a nővérét, atyja lányát vagy anyja lányát, s meglátja annak szemérmét, s az meglátja fivére szemérmét: gyalázatos dolgot cselekedtek, öljék meg őket népük színe előtt, mert felfedték egymásnak szemérmüket, s viseljék gonoszságukat.
18 If a man lies with a woman having her sickness, and uncovers her nakedness, he has made naked her fountain, and she has uncovered the fountain of her blood; both of them shall be cut off from among their people.	18 Ha valaki havi tisztulásban levő asszonnyal hál, s felfedi annak szemérmét, s az felfedi vére forrását: irtassanak ki mindketten népükből.
19 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother's sister or of your father's sister, for that is to make naked one's near kin; they shall bear their iniquity.	19 Anyád és atyád nővérének szemérmét fel ne fedd; ha valaki ezt megteszi, önnön testének szemérmét fedi fel: viseljék mindketten gonoszságukat.
20 If a man lies with his uncle's wife, he has uncovered his uncle's nakedness; they shall bear their sin, they shall die childless.	20 Ha valaki atyja vagy anyja fivérének feleségével hál, s így felfedi önnön rokonsága szemérmét: viseljék mindketten vétküket, haljanak meg gyermek nélkül.
21 If a man takes his brother's wife, it is impurity; he has uncovered his brother's nakedness, they shall be childless.	21 Ha valaki elveszi fivére feleségét, tilalmas dolgot követ el, fivére szemérmét fedte fel: gyermektelenek legyenek.
22 "You shall therefore keep all my statutes and all my ordinances, and do them; that the land where I am bringing you to dwell may not vomit you out.	22 Tartsátok meg törvényeimet és rendeleteimet, és cselekedjetek szerintük, hogy titeket is ki ne okádjon az a föld, amelyre lakni mentek.
23 And you shall not walk in the customs of the nation which I am casting out before you; for they did all these things, and therefore I abhorred them.	23 Ne járjatok azoknak a nemzeteknek a törvényei szerint, amelyeket én majd kiűzök előletek, mert mindezeket cselekedték és én megutáltam őket.
24 But I have said to you, 'You shall inherit their land, and I will give it to you to possess, a land flowing with milk and honey.' I am the LORD your God, who have separated you from the peoples.	24 Nektek pedig azt mondom: foglaljátok el földjüket, nektek adom azt örökségül, azt a tejjel és mézzel folyó földet. Én, az Úr, a ti Istenetek, elkülönítettelek titeket a többi néptől.
25 You shall therefore make a distinction between the clean beast and the unclean, and between the unclean bird and the clean; you shall not make yourselves abominable by beast or by bird or by anything with which the ground teems, which I have set apart for you to hold unclean.	25 Tegyetek tehát ti is különbséget a tiszta és a tisztátalan állat között, a tiszta és a tisztátalan madár között, hogy be ne szennyezzétek magatokat olyan állattal, madárral vagy valamilyen földi csúszó-mászóval, amelyet tisztátalannak nyilvánítottam nektek.
26 You shall be holy to me; for I the LORD am holy, and have separated you from the peoples, that you should be mine.	26 Szentek legyetek számomra, mert szent vagyok én, az Úr, s én elkülönítettelek titeket a többi néptől, hogy az enyéim legyetek.
27 "A man or a woman who is a medium or a wizard shall be put to death; they shall be stoned with stones, their blood shall be upon them."	27 Az olyan férfi vagy asszony, akiben halottidéző vagy jósló lélek van, halállal lakoljon; kövezzék agyon őket, vérük legyen rajtuk!«
