Isaiah 2

1 The word which Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.	1 Ο λογος, ο γενομενος δι' οραματος εις τον Ησαιαν τον υιον του Αμως, περι του Ιουδα και της Ιερουσαλημ.
2 It shall come to pass in the latter days that the mountain of the house of the LORD shall be established as the highest of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all the nations shall flow to it,	2 Εν ταις εσχαταις ημεραις το ορος του οικου του Κυριου θελει στηριχθη επι της κορυφης των ορεων και υψωθη υπερανω των βουνων και παντα τα εθνη θελουσι συρρεει εις αυτο,
3 and many peoples shall come, and say: "Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of the God of Jacob; that he may teach us his ways and that we may walk in his paths." For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the LORD from Jerusalem.	3 και πολλοι λαοι θελουσιν υπαγει και ειπει, Ελθετε και ας αναβωμεν εις το ορος του Κυριου, εις τον οικον του Θεου του Ιακωβ και θελει διδαξει ημας τας οδους αυτου, και θελομεν περιπατησει εν ταις τριβοις αυτου. Διοτι εκ Σιων θελει εξελθει νομος και λογος Κυριου εξ Ιερουσαλημ.
4 He shall judge between the nations, and shall decide for many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks; nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.	4 Και θελει κρινει αναμεσον των εθνων και θελει ελεγξει πολλους λαους και θελουσι σφυρηλατησει τας μαχαιρας αυτων δια υνια και τας λογχας αυτων δια δρεπανα δεν θελει σηκωσει μαχαιραν εθνος εναντιον εθνους, ουδε θελουσι μαθει πλεον τον πολεμον.
5 O house of Jacob, come, let us walk in the light of the LORD.	5 Οικος Ιακωβ, ελθετε και ας περιπατησωμεν εν τω φωτι του Κυριου.
6 For thou hast rejected thy people, the house of Jacob, because they are full of diviners from the east and of soothsayers like the Philistines, and they strike hands with foreigners.	6 Βεβαιως συ εγκατελιπες τον λαον σου, τον οικον Ιακωβ, διοτι ενεπλησθησαν της ανατολης και εγειναν μαντεις ως οι Φιλισταιοι, και συνηνωθησαν μετα των τεκνων των αλλοφυλων.
7 Their land is filled with silver and gold, and there is no end to their treasures; their land is filled with horses, and there is no end to their chariots.	7 Και η γη αυτων ενεπλησθη αργυριου και χρυσιου, και δεν ειναι τελος των θησαυρων αυτων ενεπλησθη η γη αυτων και ιππων, και δεν ειναι τελος των αμαξων αυτων.
8 Their land is filled with idols; they bow down to the work of their hands, to what their own fingers have made.	8 Και η γη αυτων ενεπλησθη απο ειδωλων ελατρευσαν το ποιημα των χειρων αυτων, εκεινο το οποιον οι δακτυλοι αυτων εκαμον
9 So man is humbled, and men are brought low-- forgive them not!	9 και ο κοινος ανθρωπος υπεκυψε και ο μεγαλος εταπεινωθη και δεν θελεις συγχωρησει αυτους.
10 Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty.	10 Εισελθε εις τον βραχον και κρυφθητι εις το χωμα, δια τον φοβον του Κυριου και δια την δοξαν της μεγαλειοτητος αυτου.
11 The haughty looks of man shall be brought low, and the pride of men shall be humbled; and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.	11 Οι υπερηφανοι οφθαλμοι του ανθρωπου θελουσι ταπεινωθη, και η επαρσις των ανθρωπων θελει υποκυψει? μονος δε ο Κυριος θελει υψωθη εν εκεινη τη ημερα.
12 For the LORD of hosts has a day against all that is proud and lofty, against all that is lifted up and high;	12 Διοτι ημερα Κυριου των δυναμεων θελει επελθει επι παντα αλαζονα και υπερηφανον και επι παντα υψωμενον και θελει ταπεινωθη
13 against all the cedars of Lebanon, lofty and lifted up; and against all the oaks of Bashan;	13 και επι πασας τας κεδρους του Λιβανου τας υψηλας και επηρμενας και επι πασας τας δρυς της Βασαν,
14 against all the high mountains, and against all the lofty hills;	14 και επι παντα τα υψηλα ορη και επι παντα τα υψωμενα βουνα,
15 against every high tower, and against every fortified wall;	15 και επι παντα πυργον υψηλον και επι παν τειχος περιπεφραγμενον,
16 against all the ships of Tarshish, and against all the beautiful craft.	16 και επι παντα τα πλοια της Θαρσεις και επι παντα τα ηδονικα θεαματα.
17 And the haughtiness of man shall be humbled, and the pride of men shall be brought low; and the LORD alone will be exalted in that day.	17 Και το υψος του ανθρωπου θελει υποκυψει, και η επαρσις των ανθρωπων θελει ταπεινωθη? μονος δε ο Κυριος θελει υψωθη εν εκεινη τη ημερα.
18 And the idols shall utterly pass away.	18 Και τα ειδωλα θελουσιν ολοκληρως καταστραφη.
19 And men shall enter the caves of the rocks and the holes of the ground, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.	19 Και αυτοι θελουσιν εισελθει εις τα σπηλαια των βραχων και εις τας τρυπας της γης, δια τον φοβον του Κυριου και δια την δοξαν της μεγαλειοτητος αυτου, οταν εγερθη δια να κλονιση την γην.
20 In that day men will cast forth their idols of silver and their idols of gold, which they made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats,	20 Εν εκεινη τη ημερα θελει ριψει ο ανθρωπος εις τους ασπαλακας και εις τας νυκτεριδας τα αργυρα αυτου ειδωλα και τα χρυσα αυτου ειδωλα, τα οποια εκαμεν εις εαυτον δια να προσκυνη?
21 to enter the caverns of the rocks and the clefts of the cliffs, from before the terror of the LORD, and from the glory of his majesty, when he rises to terrify the earth.	21 δια να εισελθωσιν εις τας σχισμας των βραχων και εις τα σπηλαια των πετρων, δια τον φοβον του Κυριου και δια την δοξαν της μεγαλειοτητος αυτου, οταν εγερθη δια να κλονιση την γην.
22 Turn away from man in whose nostrils is breath, for of what account is he?	22 Παραιτηθητε απο ανθρωπου, του οποιου η πνοη ειναι εις τους μυκτηρας αυτου διοτι εις τι ειναι αξιος λογου;
