Psalms 95

1 O come, let us sing to the LORD; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation!	1 ( Cantico di David, quando si edificava, il tempio dopo la cattività). Cantate al Signore un cantico nuovo, canti al Signore tutta la terra.
2 Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!	2 Cantate al Signore e benedite il suo nome, annunziate di giorno in giorno la salvezza che da lui procede.
3 For the LORD is a great God, and a great King above all gods.	3 Proclamate fra le genti la sua gloria, e a tutti i popoli le sue maraviglie.
4 In his hand are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.	4 Perchè grande è il Signore e degno d'ogni lode, terribile sopra tutti gli dèi;
5 The sea is his, for he made it; for his hands formed the dry land.	5 Chè gli dèi delle genti non son che demoni; invece il Signore ha creati i cieli.
6 O come, let us worship and bow down, let us kneel before the LORD, our Maker!	6 Gloria o splendore gli stan davanti, santità e magnificenza son nel suo santuario.
7 For he is our God, and we are the people of his pasture, and the sheep of his hand. O that today you would hearken to his voice!	7 Date al Signore, o stirpi di popoli, date al Signore gloria ed onore.
8 Harden not your hearts, as at Meribah, as on the day at Massah in the wilderness,	8 Date al Signore la gloria dovuta al suo nomo, prendete le vittime ed entrate negli atrii di lui:
9 when your fathers tested me, and put me to the proof, though they had seen my work.	9 Adorate il Signore nel suo atrio santo: fremi dinanzi a lui tutta la terra.
10 For forty years I loathed that generation and said, "They are a people who err in heart, and they do not regard my ways."	10 Dite tra le nazioni: « Ii Signore regna, Egli ha resa stabile la terra, che non vacillerà, giudicherà i popoli con giustizia.
11 Therefore I swore in my anger that they should not enter my rest.	11 Si rallegrino i cieli ed esulti la terra, si commuova il mare con tutto ciò che lo riempie,
	12 Tripudino le campagne e quanto vi ha in esse; e plaudano tutti gli alberi delle selve
	13 Davanti al Signore, perchè viene, perchè viene a giudicare la terra. Giudicherà con equità il mondo e nella sua verità i popoli ».
