Psalms 94

1 O LORD, thou God of vengeance, thou God of vengeance, shine forth!	1 ¡Dios vengador de las injusticias, Señor, Dios justiciero, manifiéstate!
2 Rise up, O judge of the earth; render to the proud their deserts!	2 ¡Levántate, Juez de la tierra, dales su merecido a los soberbios!
3 O LORD, how long shall the wicked, how long shall the wicked exult?	3 ¿Hasta cuándo triunfarán, Señor, hasta cuando triunfarán los malvados?
4 They pour out their arrogant words, they boast, all the evildoers.	4 ¿Hasta cuando hablarán con arrogancia y se jactarán los malhechores?
5 They crush thy people, O LORD, and afflict thy heritage.	5 Ellos pisotean a tu pueblo, Señor, y oprimen a tu herencia;
6 They slay the widow and the sojourner, and murder the fatherless;	6 matan a la viuda y al extranjero, asesinan a los huérfanos;
7 and they say, "The LORD does not see; the God of Jacob does not perceive."	7 y exclaman: «El Señor no lo ve, no se da cuenta el Dios de Jacob».
8 Understand, O dullest of the people! Fools, when will you be wise?	8 ¡Entiendan, los más necios del pueblo! y ustedes, insensatos, ¿cuándo recapacitarán?
9 He who planted the ear, does he not hear? He who formed the eye, does he not see?	9 El que hizo el oído, ¿no va a escuchar? El que formó los ojos, ¿no va a ver?
10 He who chastens the nations, does he not chastise? He who teaches men knowledge,	10 ¿Dejará de castigar el que educa a las naciones y da a los hombres el conocimiento?
11 the LORD, knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.	11 ¡El Señor conoce los planes de los hombres y sabe muy bien que son vanos!
12 Blessed is the man whom thou dost chasten, O LORD, and whom thou dost teach out of thy law	12 Feliz el que es educado por ti, Señor, aquel a quien instruyes con tu ley,
13 to give him respite from days of trouble, until a pit is dug for the wicked.	13 para darle un descanso después de la adversidad, mientras se cava una fosa para el malvado.
14 For the LORD will not forsake his people; he will not abandon his heritage;	14 Porque el Señor no abandona a su pueblo ni deja desamparada a su herencia:
15 for justice will return to the righteous, and all the upright in heart will follow it.	15 la justicia volverá a los tribunales y los rectos de corazón la seguirán.
16 Who rises up for me against the wicked? Who stands up for me against evildoers?	16 ¿Quién se pondrá a mi favor contra los impíos? ¿Quién estará a mi lado contra los malhechores?
17 If the LORD had not been my help, my soul would soon have dwelt in the land of silence.	17 Si el Señor no me hubiera ayudado, ya estaría habitando en la región del silencio.
18 When I thought, "My foot slips," thy steadfast love, O LORD, held me up.	18 Cuando pienso que voy a resbalar, tu misericordia, Señor, me sostiene;
19 When the cares of my heart are many, thy consolations cheer my soul.	19 cuando estoy cargado de preocupaciones, tus consuelos me llenan de alegría.
20 Can wicked rulers be allied with thee, who frame mischief by statute?	20 ¿Podrá aliarse contigo un tribunal inicuo, que comete injusticias en nombre de la ley?
21 They band together against the life of the righteous, and condemn the innocent to death.	21 Ellos atentan contra la vida de los justos y condenan a muerte al inocente.
22 But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.	22 Pero el Señor es mi fortaleza, mi Dios es la Roca en que me refugio:
23 He will bring back on them their iniquity and wipe them out for their wickedness; the LORD our God will wipe them out.	23 él les devolverá a su misma iniquidad y los destruirá por su malicia, ¡El Señor, nuestro Dios, los destruirá!
