Psalms 59

1 To the choirmaster: according to Do Not Destroy. A Miktam of David, when Saul sent men to watch his house in order to kill him. Deliver me from my enemies, O my God, protect me from those who rise up against me,	1 (58-1) ^^Начальнику хора. Не погуби. Писание Давида, когда Саул послал стеречь дом его, чтобы умертвить его.^^ (58-2) Избавь меня от врагов моих, Боже мой! защити меня от восстающих на меня;
2 deliver me from those who work evil, and save me from bloodthirsty men.	2 (58-3) избавь меня от делающих беззаконие; спаси от кровожадных,
3 For, lo, they lie in wait for my life; fierce men band themselves against me. For no transgression or sin of mine, O LORD,	3 (58-4) ибо вот, они подстерегают душу мою; собираются на меня сильные не за преступление мое и не за грех мой, Господи;
4 for no fault of mine, they run and make ready. Rouse thyself, come to my help, and see!	4 (58-5) без вины [моей] сбегаются и вооружаются; подвигнись на помощь мне и воззри.
5 Thou, LORD God of hosts, art God of Israel. Awake to punish all the nations; spare none of those who treacherously plot evil. [Selah]	5 (58-6) Ты, Господи, Боже сил, Боже Израилев, восстань посетить все народы, не пощади ни одного из нечестивых беззаконников:
6 Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.	6 (58-7) вечером возвращаются они, воют, как псы, и ходят вокруг города;
7 There they are, bellowing with their mouths, and snarling with their lips-- for "Who," they think, "will hear us?"	7 (58-8) вот они изрыгают хулу языком своим; в устах их мечи: 'ибо', [думают они], 'кто слышит?'
8 But thou, O LORD, dost laugh at them; thou dost hold all the nations in derision.	8 (58-9) Но Ты, Господи, посмеешься над ними; Ты посрамишь все народы.
9 O my Strength, I will sing praises to thee; for thou, O God, art my fortress.	9 (58-10) Сила--у них, но я к Тебе прибегаю, ибо Бог--заступник мой.
10 My God in his steadfast love will meet me; my God will let me look in triumph on my enemies.	10 (58-11) Бой мой, милующий меня, предварит меня; Бог даст мне смотреть на врагов моих.
11 Slay them not, lest my people forget; make them totter by thy power, and bring them down, O Lord, our shield!	11 (58-12) Не умерщвляй их, чтобы не забыл народ мой; расточи их силою Твоею и низложи их, Господи, защитник наш.
12 For the sin of their mouths, the words of their lips, let them be trapped in their pride. For the cursing and lies which they utter,	12 (58-13) Слово языка их есть грех уст их, да уловятся они в гордости своей за клятву и ложь, которую произносят.
13 consume them in wrath, consume them till they are no more, that men may know that God rules over Jacob to the ends of the earth. [Selah]	13 (58-14) Расточи их во гневе, расточи, чтобы их не было; и да познают, что Бог владычествует над Иаковом до пределов земли.
14 Each evening they come back, howling like dogs and prowling about the city.	14 (58-15) Пусть возвращаются вечером, воют, как псы, и ходят вокруг города;
15 They roam about for food, and growl if they do not get their fill.	15 (58-16) пусть бродят, чтобы найти пищу, и несытые проводят ночи.
16 But I will sing of thy might; I will sing aloud of thy steadfast love in the morning. For thou hast been to me a fortress and a refuge in the day of my distress.	16 (58-17) А я буду воспевать силу Твою и с раннего утра провозглашать милость Твою, ибо Ты был мне защитою и убежищем в день бедствия моего.
17 O my Strength, I will sing praises to thee, for thou, O God, art my fortress, the God who shows me steadfast love.	17 (58-18) Сила моя! Тебя буду воспевать я, ибо Бог--заступник мой, Бог мой, милующий меня.
