Psalms 28

1 A Psalm of David. To thee, O LORD, I call; my rock, be not deaf to me, lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like those who go down to the Pit.	1 De David. Vers toi, Yahvé, j'appelle, mon rocher, ne sois pas sourd! que je ne sois, devant tonsilence, comme ceux qui descendent à la fosse!
2 Hear the voice of my supplication, as I cry to thee for help, as I lift up my hands toward thy most holy sanctuary.	2 Ecoute la voix de ma prière quand je crie vers toi, quand j'élève les mains, Yahvé, vers ton Saintdes Saints.
3 Take me not off with the wicked, with those who are workers of evil, who speak peace with their neighbors, while mischief is in their hearts.	3 Ne me traîne pas avec les impies, avec les malfaisants, qui parlent de paix à leur prochain, et le malest dans leur coeur.
4 Requite them according to their work, and according to the evil of their deeds; requite them according to the work of their hands; render them their due reward.	4 Donne-leur, Yahvé, selon leurs oeuvres et la malice de leurs actes, selon l'ouvrage de leurs mainsdonne-leur, paie-les de leur salaire.
5 Because they do not regard the works of the LORD, or the work of his hands, he will break them down and build them up no more.	5 Ils méconnaissent les oeuvres de Yahvé, l'ouvrage de tes mains: qu'il les abatte et ne les rebâtisse!
6 Blessed be the LORD! for he has heard the voice of my supplications.	6 Béni soit Yahvé, car il écoute la voix de ma prière!
7 The LORD is my strength and my shield; in him my heart trusts; so I am helped, and my heart exults, and with my song I give thanks to him.	7 Yahvé ma force et mon bouclier, en lui mon coeur a foi; j'ai reçu aide, ma chair a refleuri, de toutcoeur je rends grâce.
8 The LORD is the strength of his people, he is the saving refuge of his anointed.	8 Yahvé, force pour son peuple, forteresse de salut pour son messie.
9 O save thy people, and bless thy heritage; be thou their shepherd, and carry them for ever.	9 Sauve ton peuple, bénis ton héritage, conduis-les, porte-les à jamais!
