Psalms 147

1 Praise the LORD! For it is good to sing praises to our God; for he is gracious, and a song of praise is seemly.	1 ¡Aleluya! ¡Qué bueno es cantar a nuestro Dios, qué agradable y merecida es su alabanza!
2 The LORD builds up Jerusalem; he gathers the outcasts of Israel.	2 El Señor reconstruye a Jerusalén y congrega a los dispersos de Israel;
3 He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.	3 sana a los que están afligidos y les venda las heridas.
4 He determines the number of the stars, he gives to all of them their names.	4 El cuenta el número de las estrellas y llama a cada una por su nombre:
5 Great is our LORD, and abundant in power; his understanding is beyond measure.	5 nuestro Señor es grande y poderoso, su inteligencia no tiene medida.
6 The LORD lifts up the downtrodden, he casts the wicked to the ground.	6 El Señor eleva a los oprimidos y humilla a los malvados hasta el polvo.
7 Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving; make melody to our God upon the lyre!	7 Respondan al Señor dándole gracias, toquen la cítara para nuestro Dios.
8 He covers the heavens with clouds, he prepares rain for the earth, he makes grass grow upon the hills.	8 El cubre el cielo de nubes y provee de lluvia a la tierra; hace brotar la hierba en las montañas y las plantas para provecho del hombre;
9 He gives to the beasts their food, and to the young ravens which cry.	9 dispensa su alimento al ganado, y a los pichones de cuervo que claman a él.
10 His delight is not in the strength of the horse, nor his pleasure in the legs of a man;	10 No le agrada el vigor de los caballos ni valora los músculos del hombre:
11 but the LORD takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his steadfast love.	11 el Señor ama a los que lo temen y a los que esperan en su misericordia.
12 Praise the LORD, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion!	12 ¡Glorifica al Señor, Jerusalén, alaba a tu Dios, Sión!
13 For he strengthens the bars of your gates; he blesses your sons within you.	13 El reforzó los cerrojos de tus puertas y bendijo a tus hijos dentro de ti;
14 He makes peace in your borders; he fills you with the finest of the wheat.	14 él asegura la paz en tus fronteras y te sacia con lo mejor del trigo.
15 He sends forth his command to the earth; his word runs swiftly.	15 Envía su mensaje a la tierra, su palabra corre velozmente;
16 He gives snow like wool; he scatters hoarfrost like ashes.	16 reparte la nieve como lana y esparce la escarcha como ceniza.
17 He casts forth his ice like morsels; who can stand before his cold?	17 El arroja su hielo como migas, y las aguas se congelan por el frío;
18 He sends forth his word, and melts them; he makes his wind blow, and the waters flow.	18 da una orden y se derriten, hace soplar su viento y corren las aguas.
19 He declares his word to Jacob, his statutes and ordinances to Israel.	19 Revela su palabra a Jacob, sus preceptos y mandatos a Israel:
20 He has not dealt thus with any other nation; they do not know his ordinances. Praise the LORD!	20 a ningún otro pueblo trató así ni le dio a conocer sus mandamientos. ¡Aleluya!
