1 Praise the LORD! Praise the LORD, O my soul!	1 Alleluia. Lodate Dio. Lodate il Signore, perché buona cosa è il salmo: diasi al nostro Dio lauda gradevole, e conveniente.
2 I will praise the LORD as long as I live; I will sing praises to my God while I have being.	2 Il Signore, che edifica Gerusalemme radunerà i figliuoli d'Israele dispersi.
3 Put not your trust in princes, in a son of man, in whom there is no help.	3 Egli è, che risana i contriti di cuore, e fascia le loro piaghe.
4 When his breath departs he returns to his earth; on that very day his plans perish.	4 Egli, che conta la moltitudine delle stelle, e tutte le chiama pel loro nome.
5 Happy is he whose help is the God of Jacob, whose hope is in the LORD his God,	5 Grande il Signore Dio nostro, e grande la potenza di lui, e la sua sapienza non ha misura.
6 who made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them; who keeps faith for ever;	6 Il Signore è difensore de' mansueti, ma umilia fino a terra i peccatori.
7 who executes justice for the oppressed; who gives food to the hungry. The LORD sets the prisoners free;	7 Cantate inni al Signore con rendimento di grazie: celebrate le lodi di lui sulla cetera.
8 the LORD opens the eyes of the blind. The LORD lifts up those who are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous.	8 Egli, che il cielo ricuopre di nuvole, e alla terra prepara la pioggia. Egli, che produce su' monti il fieno, e gli erbaggi per servigio dell'uomo.
9 The LORD watches over the sojourners, he upholds the widow and the fatherless; but the way of the wicked he brings to ruin.	9 Egli, che da il loro cibo a' giumenti, e ai teneri corvi, che lo invocano.
10 The LORD will reign for ever, thy God, O Zion, to all generations. Praise the LORD!	10 Ei non fa conto della forza del cavallo, né che l'uomo stia ben in gambe.
	11 Il Signore si compiace di que',che lo temono, e di quei, che sperano a misericordia.
