2 Blessed be the name of the LORD from this time forth and for evermore!	2 Gepriesen sei der Name des HERRNvon nun an bis in Ewigkeit!
3 From the rising of the sun to its setting the name of the LORD is to be praised!	3 Vom Aufgang der Sonne bis zu ihrem Niedergangsei gelobt der Name des HERRN!
4 The LORD is high above all nations, and his glory above the heavens!	4 Erhaben über alle Völker ist der HERR,den Himmel überragt seine Herrlichkeit!
5 Who is like the LORD our God, who is seated on high,	5 Wer ist dem HERRN gleich, unserm Gott,der da thront in der Höhe,
6 who looks far down upon the heavens and the earth?	6 der niederschaut in die Tiefe,im Himmel und auf Erden?
7 He raises the poor from the dust, and lifts the needy from the ash heap,	7 Er hebt aus dem Staub den Geringen emporund erhöht aus dem Schmutz den Armen,
8 to make them sit with princes, with the princes of his people.	8 um ihn sitzen zu lassen neben Edlen,neben den Edlen seines Volks.
9 He gives the barren woman a home, making her the joyous mother of children. Praise the LORD!	9 Er verleiht der kinderlosen Gattin Hausrecht,macht sie zur fröhlichen Mutter von Kindern. Halleluja!
