1 A Psalm of David.I will sing of loyalty and of justice; to thee, O LORD, I will sing.	1 Psaume à David (ou de David lui-même). Je chanterai, Seigneur, devant vous votre miséricorde et votre justice. Je les chanterai au son des instruments (sur le psaltérion),
2 I will give heed to the way that is blameless. Oh when wilt thou come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;	2 et je m'appliquerai à connaître la (comprendre une) voie sans tache. Quand viendrez-vous à moi ? (.) Je marchais dans l'innocence de mon cœur, au milieu de ma maison.
3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is base. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cleave to me.	3 Je ne plaçais devant mes yeux rien d'injuste ; je haïssais ceux qui commettaient la prévarication. J'éloignais de moi
4 Perverseness of heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.	4 le cœur corrompu ; le méchant s'écartait de moi, et je ne le connaissais pas.
5 Him who slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. The man of haughty looks and arrogant heart I will not endure.	5 Celui qui médisait en secret de son prochain, je le poursuivais. Celui dont l'œil est superbe et le cœur insatiable, je ne mangeais pas avec lui.
6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.	6 Mes yeux se tournaient vers les hommes fidèles de la terre, pour les faire asseoir près de moi ; celui qui marchait dans une voie innocente était mon serviteur.
7 No man who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no man who utters lies shall continue in my presence.	7 Celui qui agit avec orgueil n'habitera point dans ma maison. Celui qui profère des choses injustes n'a pu se rendre agréable à (dirigé sa voie devant) mes yeux.
8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD.	8 Je mettais à mort dès le matin tous les pécheurs de la terre, afin d'extirper (exterminer) de la ville du Seigneur (cité de Dieu) tous ceux qui commettent l'iniquité.
