Psalms 101

1 A Psalm of David.I will sing of loyalty and of justice; to thee, O LORD, I will sing.	1 Di David. Salmo. Grazia e giudizio voglio cantare; a te, Jahvè, voglio inneggiare.
2 I will give heed to the way that is blameless. Oh when wilt thou come to me? I will walk with integrity of heart within my house;	2 Voglio applicarmi nella via degli integri; quando verrai da me? Mi comporto nell’integrità del mio cuore, nell’interno della mia casa.
3 I will not set before my eyes anything that is base. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cleave to me.	3 Non metto davanti ai miei occhi azione perversa. Ho in odio il commettere delitti; non mi si attacca.
4 Perverseness of heart shall be far from me; I will know nothing of evil.	4 Un cuore tortuoso scantona da me, del cattivo non voglio saperne.
5 Him who slanders his neighbor secretly I will destroy. The man of haughty looks and arrogant heart I will not endure.	5 Chi calunnia in segreto il fratello, io lo stermino. L’altezzoso di sguardo e l’orgoglioso di cuore non lo sopporto.
6 I will look with favor on the faithful in the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks in the way that is blameless shall minister to me.	6 I miei occhi sono sui fedeli del paese per farli sedere con me. Colui che cammina nella via degli integri, quegli è mio ministro.
7 No man who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no man who utters lies shall continue in my presence.	7 Non abita dentro la mia casa chi opera frode. Chi parla menzogna non regge davanti ai miei occhi.
8 Morning by morning I will destroy all the wicked in the land, cutting off all the evildoers from the city of the LORD.	8 Di mattino in mattino distruggo tutti gli empi nel paese; per sterminare dalla città di Jahvè tutti coloro che compiono iniquità.
