Exodus 7

1 And the LORD said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet.	1 E disse lo Signore a Moisè: ecco i' ho fatto te re di Faraone; ed Aaron tuo fratello sarà tuo profeta.
2 You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land.	2 Tu favellerai ogni cosa comando a te; quegli favellerà a Faraone, che lasci li figliuoli d'Israel della terra sua.
3 But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt,	3 Ma io indurerò lo cuore suo; e moltiplicherò li segni e le cose mie dubbiose nella terra d'Egitto.
4 Pharaoh will not listen to you; then I will lay my hand upon Egypt and bring forth my hosts, my people the sons of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment.	4 E' non udirà voi. E metterò la mano mia sopra la terra d'Egitto, ed educerò lo esercito ed il popolo mio, figliuoli d'Israel, della terra dell' Egitto per massimi giudicii.
5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am the LORD, when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them."	5 E sapranno gli Egizii, ch' io sono lo Signore, il quale stenderò la mano mia sopra Egitto, e meneronne li figliuoli d'Israel del mezzo di loro.
6 And Moses and Aaron did so; they did as the LORD commanded them.	6 E fecero così adunque Moisè ed Aaron, come aveva comandato a loro lo Signore; e così fecero.
7 Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty- three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.	7 Era Moisè d'ottanta anni, ed Aaron d'ottantatre, quando favellarono a Faraone.
8 And the LORD said to Moses and Aaron,	8 E disse lo Signore a Moisè ed Aaron:
9 "When Pharaoh says to you, 'Prove yourselves by working a miracle,' then you shall say to Aaron, 'Take your rod and cast it down before Pharaoh, that it may become a serpent.'"	9 Quando dirae a voi Faraone: mostrate li segni, dirai ad Aaron: togli la verga tua, e gettala dinnanzi a Faraone (ed alli servi suoi) e torni in serpente.
10 So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did as the LORD commanded; Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and his servants, and it became a serpent.	10 Andando adunque Moisè ed Aaron a Faraone, fecero siccome comandò lo Signore; e tolse Aaron la verga innanzi a Faraone ed alli servi suoi, la quale fatta è serpente.
11 Then Pharaoh summoned the wise men and the sorcerers; and they also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same by their secret arts.	11 Ma chiamò Faraone li savii e li incantatori; e fecero ancora egli per le incantazioni egiziache, e per alcuni secreti, alcune cose somiglianti.
12 For every man cast down his rod, and they became serpents. But Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.	12 E gettarono ciascuno la verga loro, le quali si convertirono in dragoni; ma divoroe la verga d'Aaron le verghe loro.
13 Still Pharaoh's heart was hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.	13 Ed indurito è lo cuore di Faraone, e non udì loro, siccome comandò lo Signore (onnipotente).
14 Then the LORD said to Moses, "Pharaoh's heart is hardened, he refuses to let the people go.	14 Disse ancora lo Signore a Moisè: gravato è lo cuore di Faraone, e non vuolse lasciare lo popolo mio.
15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning, as he is going out to the water; wait for him by the river's brink, and take in your hand the rod which was turned into a serpent.	15 Va a lui la mattina; ecco egli anderà all'acque, e fara' ti d'incontro a lui sopra la ripa del fiume; la verga si fece drago torrai nella mano tua.
16 And you shall say to him, 'The LORD, the God of the Hebrews, sent me to you, saying, "Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness; and behold, you have not yet obeyed."	16 E dirai a lui: lo Signore Iddio delli Ebrei mandò me a te, dicendo: lascia lo popolo mio, acciò che sacrifichi a me nel deserto, ed insino ad ora non volesti udire.
17 Thus says the LORD, "By this you shall know that I am the LORD: behold, I will strike the water that is in the Nile with the rod that is in my hand, and it shall be turned to blood,	17 Queste cose dice adunque lo Signore: in questo saprai che io Signore sia. Ecco io percuoterò colla verga, la quale è nella mano mia, l'acqua dello fiume, e tornerà in sangue.
18 and the fish in the Nile shall die, and the Nile shall become foul, and the Egyptians will loathe to drink water from the Nile.'"	18 Li pesci che sono nel fiume morranno; puzzeranno l'acque, e saranno tormentati quegli d'Egitto bevendo l'acque del fiume.
19 And the LORD said to Moses, "Say to Aaron, 'Take your rod and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, their canals, and their ponds, and all their pools of water, that they may become blood; and there shall be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.'"	19 E disse ancora lo Signore a Moisè: dì ad Aaron: togli la verga tua, e stendi la mano tua sopra l'acque d'Egitto, e sopra li fiumi suoi, e rivi (e pozzi) e paludi ed ogni laghi d'acque, acciò che elle ritornino in sangue; e così lo sangue sia in ogni terra d'Egitto, così nelle vaselli di legno, come nelli sassi.
20 Moses and Aaron did as the LORD commanded; in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, he lifted up the rod and struck the water that was in the Nile, and all the water that was in the Nile turned to blood.	20 E fecero adunque Moisè ed Aaron, siccome comandò le Signore: e levando la verga, percosse l'acqua del fiume innanzi a Faraone e servi suoi, la quale tornoe in sangue.
21 And the fish in the Nile died; and the Nile became foul, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile; and there was blood throughout all the land of Egypt.	21 E li pesci, ch' erano nel fiume, morti sono; li quali guastarono e faceano molto spuzzare lo fiume, e non poteano quelli d'Egitto bevere l'acqua del fiume; e fue ancora lo sangue in tutta la terra d'Egitto.
22 But the magicians of Egypt did the same by their secret arts; so Pharaoh's heart remained hardened, and he would not listen to them; as the LORD had said.	22 E fecero somigliantemente li incantatori de gli Egizii per le incantazioni loro; (ed indurato è lo cuore di Faraone); nè non udì loro, siccome comandò lo Signore.
23 Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he did not lay even this to heart.	23 E rivolsesi, e ritorno alla casa sua; nè compose ancora lo cuore questa volta.
24 And all the Egyptians dug round about the Nile for water to drink, for they could not drink the water of the Nile.	24 Ma tutti quelli di Egitto cavarono in ogni luogo d'intorno al fiume, acciò che bevessero dell' acqua; ed in verità non poteano bevere dell' acqua del fiume.
25 Seven days passed after the LORD had struck the Nile.	25 E compiuti sono i sette dì, poscia che percosse lo Signore lo fiume.
