1 The sons of Reuben the first-born of Israel (for he was the first-born; but because he polluted his father's couch, his birthright was given to the sons of Joseph the son of Israel, so that he is not enrolled in the genealogy according to the birthright;	1 Die Söhne Rubens, des Erstgeborenen Israels, - er war nämlich der Erstgeborene; da er aber die Lagerstatt seines Vaters geschändet hatte, ward sein Erstgeburtsrecht den Söhnen Josephs, des Sohnes Israels, zuteil. 2 though Judah became strong among his brothers and a prince was from him, yet the birthright belonged to Joseph),	2 Die Vorherrschaft über seine Brüder erhielt nämlich Juda; aus ihm wurde einer zum Fürsten gewählt, obwohl die Erstgeburt Joseph erhielt.

7 And his kinsmen by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned: the chief, Je-iel, and Zechariah,	7 Seine Brüder waren nach seinem Familienverzeichnis laut Eintragung in ihre Geschlechtsregister: der erste Jeïel, dann Sacharja
8 and Bela the son of Azaz, son of Shema, son of Joel, who dwelt in Aroer, as far as Nebo and Baal-meon.	8 und Bela, der Sohn des Asas, des Sohnes des Schema, des Sohnes Joels. Er wohnte in Aroer bis Nebo und Baal-Meon.
9 He also dwelt to the east as far as the entrance of the desert this side of the Euphrates, because their cattle had multiplied in the land of Gilead.	9 Nach Osten zu wohnte er bis zum Eingang in die Wüste, die sich vom Euphratstrom her ausdehnt. Denn sie besaßen großen Viehbestand im Lande Gilead.
10 And in the days of Saul they made war on the Hagrites, who fell by their hand; and they dwelt in their tents throughout all the region east of Gilead.	10 In den Tagen Sauls führten sie Krieg mit den Hagritern. Als diese in ihrer Gewalt waren, wohnten sie in ihren Zelten auf der ganzen Ostseite von Gilead.
11 The sons of Gad dwelt over against them in the land of Bashan as far as Salecah:	11 Die Söhne Gads wohnten ihnen gegenüber im Lande Basan bis Salcha.
12 Joel the chief, Shapham the second, Janai, and Shaphat in Bashan.	12 An der Spitze stand Joel, der Zweite war Schapham, ferner Janaj, der Richter in Basan.
13 And their kinsmen according to their fathers' houses: Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia, and Eber, seven.	13 Ihre Brüder nach ihren Familienhäuptern waren: Michael, Meschullam, Scheba, Joraj, Jakan, Sia und Heber, sieben an der Zahl.
14 These were the sons of Abihail the son of Huri, son of Jaroah, son of Gilead, son of Michael, son of Jeshishai, son of Jahdo, son of Buz;	14 Diese waren die Söhne des Abichajil, des Sohnes Churis, des Sohnes Jaroachs, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Michaels, des Sohnes Jeschischajs, des Sohnes Jachdos, des Sohnes des Bus.
15 Ahi the son of Abdi-el, son of Guni, was chief in their fathers' houses;	15 Achi, der Sohn des Abdiël, des Sohnes Gunis, war ein Haupt ihrer Familien.
16 and they dwelt in Gilead, in Bashan and in its towns, and in all the pasture lands of Sharon to their limits.	16 Sie wohnten in Gilead, in Basan und seinen Tochterstädten, ferner bis zu den Ausläufern aller Weidetriften von Saron.
17 All of these were enrolled by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.	17 Sie alle wurden in die Register eingetragen in den Tagen des Jotam, des Königs von Juda, und in den Tagen Jerobeams, des Königs von Israel.
18 The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh had valiant men, who carried shield and sword, and drew the bow, expert in war, forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty, ready for service.	18 Die streitbaren Männer der Rubeniten, Gaditen und des halben Stammes Manasse, die Schild und Schwert führen und den Bogen spannen konnten und kampfgeübt waren - ihrer waren es 44 760 Mann, die im Heerbann mitzogen -,

21 They carried off their livestock: fifty thousand of their camels, two hundred and fifty thousand sheep, two thousand asses, and a hundred thousand men alive.	21 Man erbeutete an Vieh 50 000 Kamele, 250 000 Stück Kleinvieh, 2 000 Esel und außerdem 100 000 lebende Menschen.
22 For many fell slain, because the war was of God. And they dwelt in their place until the exile.	22 Viele waren durch das Schwert gefallen, weil der Kampf von Gott kam. An deren Stelle blieben sie dann wohnen bis zur Verbannung.
23 The members of the half-tribe of Manasseh dwelt in the land; they were very numerous from Bashan to Baal-hermon, Senir, and Mount Hermon.	23 Die zum Halbstamm Manasse gehörenden Einwohner siedelten im Land, das von Basan bis zum Baal-Hermon, zum Senir und zum Hermongebirge reicht. Sie waren zahlreich.
24 These were the heads of their fathers' houses: Epher, Ishi, Eliel, Azri-el, Jeremiah, Hodaviah, and Jahdi-el, mighty warriors, famous men, heads of their fathers' houses.	24 Dies sind ihre Familienhäupter: Epher, Jischi, Eliel, Asriel, Jirmeja, Hodawja und Jachdiel, kriegerische und berühmte Männer, Häupter ihrer Familien.
25 But they transgressed against the God of their fathers, and played the harlot after the gods of the peoples of the land, whom God had destroyed before them.	25 Aber sie wurden dem Gott ihrer Väter untreu und liefen buhlend hinter den Götzen der Landesbevölkerung her, die Gott vor ihnen vertilgt hatte.
26 So the God of Israel stirred up the spirit of Pul king of Assyria, the spirit of Tilgath-pilneser king of Assyria, and he carried them away, namely, the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, and brought them to Halah, Habor, Hara, and the river Gozan, to this day.	26 Deshalb stachelte Israels Gott den Geist des Assyrerkönigs Pul, das heißt den Geist des Assyrerkönigs Tiglatpileser, auf; dieser führte die Rubeniten, Gaditen und den halben Manassestamm in die Verbannung. Er brachte sie nach Chalach und an den Chabor, den Fluß Gosans, wo sie bis heute verblieben.
	27 Levis Söhne waren Gerschon, Kehat und Merari.
	28 Die Söhne Kehats waren Amram, Jizhar, Hebron und Ussiel.
	29 Amrams Nachkommen waren Aaron, Moses und Mirjam. Aarons Söhne hießen Nadab, Abihu, Eleasar und Itamar.
	30 Eleasar zeugte Pinchas, Pinchas den Abischua.
	31 Abischua zeugte Bukki, Bukki den Ussi.
	32 Ussi zeugte Serachja, Serachja zeugte Merajot.
	33 Merajot zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Achitub.
	34 Achitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Achimaaz.
	35 Achimaaz zeugte Asarja; dieser war (der erste) Priester im Tempel, den Salomo in Jerusalem erbaute; Asarja zeugte den Jochanan,
	36 Jochanan den Asarja.
	37 Asarja zeugte Amarja, Amarja zeugte Achitub.
	38 Achitub zeugte Zadok, Zadok zeugte Schallum.
	39 Schallum zeugte Hilkia, Hilkia zeugte Asarja.
	40 Asarja zeugte Seraja, Seraja zeugte Jozadak.
	41 Jozadak mußte fortziehen, als der Herr Juda und Jerusalem durch Nebukadnezar in die Verbannung führte.
