1 In the days of Amraphel king of Shinar, Arioch king of Ellasar, Ched-or-laomer king of Elam, and Tidal king of Goiim,	1 Za czasów Amrafela, króla Szinearu, i Arioka, króla Ellasaru, Kedorlaomer, król Elamu, i Tidal, król Goim,

19 And he blessed him and said, "Blessed be Abram by God Most High, maker of heaven and earth;	19 błogosławił Abrama, mówiąc: Niech będzie błogosławiony Abram przez Boga Najwyższego, Stwórcę nieba i ziemi!
20 and blessed be God Most High, who has delivered your enemies into your hand!" And Abram gave him a tenth of everything.	20 Niech będzie błogosławiony Bóg Najwyższy, który w twe ręce wydał twoich wrogów! Abram dał mu dziesiątą część ze wszystkiego.
21 And the king of Sodom said to Abram, "Give me the persons, but take the goods for yourself."	21 Król Sodomy rzekł do Abrama: Oddaj mi tylko ludzi, a mienie weź sobie!
22 But Abram said to the king of Sodom, "I have sworn to the LORD God Most High, maker of heaven and earth,	22 Ale Abram odpowiedział królowi Sodomy: Przysięgam na Pana, Boga Najwyższego, Stwórcę nieba i ziemi,
23 that I would not take a thread or a sandal-thong or anything that is yours, lest you should say, 'I have made Abram rich.'	23 że ani nitki, ani rzemyka od sandała, ani niczego nie wezmę z tego, co do ciebie należy, żebyś potem nie mówił: To ja wzbogaciłem Abrama.
