1 These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; sons were born to them after the flood.	1 Eis a posteridade dos filhos de Noé: Sem, Cam e Jafé. Estes tiveram filhos depois do dilúvio.
2 The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.	2 Filhos de Jafé: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javã, Tubal, Mosoc e Tiras.
3 The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah.	3 Filhos de Gomer: Asquenez, Rifat e Togorma.
4 The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim.	4 Filhos de Javã: Elisa e Társis, Cetim e Rodanim.
5 From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the sons of Japheth in their lands, each with his own language, by their families, in their nations.	5 Destes saíram os povos dispersos nas ilhas das nações, em seus diversos países, cada um segundo sua língua e segundo suas famílias e suas nações.
6 The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.	6 Filhos de Cam: Cuch, Mesraim, Fut e Canaã.
7 The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.	7 Filhos de Cuch: Sabá, Hévila, Sabata, Regma e Sabataca. Filhos de Regma: Sabá e Dadã.
8 Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man.	8 Cuch gerou Nemrod, que foi o primeiro homem poderoso da terra.
9 He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD."	9 Ele foi um grande caçador diante do Se­nhor. Donde a expressão: “Como Nemrod, grande caçador diante do Eterno”.
10 The beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.	10 Ele estabele­ceu o seu reino primeiramente em Babilônia, Arac, Acad e Calane, na terra de Senaar.
11 From that land he went into Assyria, and built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah, and	11 Daí foi para Assur e construiu Nínive, Reobot-Ir, Cale

24 Arpachshad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.	24 Arfaxad gerou Salé, Salé gerou Héber.
25 To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.	25 Héber teve dois filhos: um se chamava Faleg, porque no seu tempo a terra foi dividida, e o outro se chamava Jectã.*
26 Joktan became the father of Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,	26 Jectã gerou Elmodad, Salef, Asarmot, Jaré,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,	27 Aduram, Uzal, Decla,
28 Obal, Abima-el, Sheba,	28 Ebal, Abimael, Sabá,
29 Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.	29 Ofir, Hévila e Jobab. Estes são os filhos de Jetã.
30 The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar to the hill country of the east.	30 A terra que eles habi­tavam se estendia desde Mesa, na direção de Sefar, até a montanha do oriente.

32 These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.	32 Tais são as famílias dos filhos de Noé, segundo suas gerações e suas nações.
