¹ Above all else, it is being said that there is fornication among you, even fornication of a such kind that is not among the Gentiles, so that someone would have the wife of his father.	¹ Übrigens hört man von Unzucht unter euch, und zwar von Unzucht, wie sie nicht einmal unter den Heiden vorkommt, dass nämlich einer mit der Frau seines Vaters lebt.
² And yet you are inflated, and you have not instead been grieved, so that he who has done this thing would be taken away from your midst.	² Und da macht ihr euch noch wichtig, statt traurig zu werden und den aus eurer Mitte zu stoßen, der so etwas getan hat.
³ Certainly, though absent in body, I am present in spirit. Thus, I have already judged, as if I were present, him who has done this.	³ Was mich angeht, so habe ich - leiblich zwar abwesend, geistig aber anwesend - mein Urteil über den, der sich so vergangen hat, schon jetzt gefällt, als ob ich persönlich anwesend wäre:
⁴ In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, you have been gathered together with my spirit, in the power of our Lord Jesus,	⁴ Im Namen Jesu, unseres Herrn, wollen wir uns versammeln, ihr und mein Geist, und zusammen mit der Kraft Jesu, unseres Herrn,
⁵ to hand over such a one as this to Satan, for the destruction of the flesh, so that the spirit may be saved in the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.	⁵ diesen Menschen dem Satan übergeben zum Verderben seines Fleisches, damit sein Geist am Tag des Herrn gerettet wird.
⁶ It is not good for you to glory. Do you not know that a little leaven corrupts the entire mass?	⁶ Zu Unrecht rühmt ihr euch. Wisst ihr nicht, dass ein wenig Sauerteig den ganzen Teig durchsäuert?
⁷ Purge the old leaven, so that you may become the new bread, for you are unleavened. For Christ, our Passover, has now been immolated.	⁷ Schafft den alten Sauerteig weg, damit ihr neuer Teig seid. Ihr seid ja schon ungesäuertes Brot; denn als unser Paschalamm ist Christus geopfert worden.
⁸ And so, let us feast, not with the old leaven, not with the leaven of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.	⁸ Lasst uns also das Fest nicht mit dem alten Sauerteig feiern, nicht mit dem Sauerteig der Bosheit und Schlechtigkeit, sondern mit den ungesäuerten Broten der Aufrichtigkeit und Wahrheit.
⁹ As I have written to you in an epistle: “Do not associate with fornicators,”	⁹ Ich habe euch in meinem Brief ermahnt, dass ihr nichts mit Unzüchtigen zu schaffen haben sollt.
¹⁰ certainly not with the fornicators of this world, nor with the greedy, nor with robbers, nor with the servants of idolatry. Otherwise, you ought to depart from this world.	¹⁰ Gemeint waren damit nicht alle Unzüchtigen dieser Welt oder alle Habgierigen und Räuber und Götzendiener; sonst müsstet ihr ja aus der Welt auswandern.
¹¹ But now I have written to you: do not associate with anyone who is called a brother and yet is a fornicator, or greedy, or a servant of idolatry, or a slanderer, or inebriated, or a robber. With such a one as this, do not even take food.	¹¹ In Wirklichkeit meinte ich damit: Habt nichts zu schaffen mit einem, der sich Bruder nennt und dennoch Unzucht treibt, habgierig ist, Götzen verehrt, lästert, trinkt oder raubt; mit einem solchen Menschen sollt ihr nicht einmal zusammen essen.
¹² For what have I to do with judging those who are outside? But do not even you yourselves judge those who are inside?	¹² Ich will also nicht Außenstehende richten - ihr richtet ja auch nur solche, die zu euch gehören - ,
¹³ For those who are outside, God will judge. But send this evil person away from yourselves.	¹³ die Außenstehenden wird Gott richten. Schafft den Übeltäter weg aus eurer Mitte!
