Zechariah 5

1 And I turned and lifted up my eyes. And I saw, and behold, a book flying.	1 Je me retournai, et je levai les yeux, et je regardai ; et voici, il y avait un livre (volume) qui volait.
2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a book flying. Its length is twenty cubits, and its width is ten cubits.”	2 Et il me dit : Que vois-tu ? Je dis : Je vois un livre (volume) qui vole ; sa longueur est de vingt coudées, et sa largeur de dix coudées.
3 And he said to me, “This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth. For every thief will be judged, just as it has been written there, and everyone who swears by this, will be judged in like manner.”	3 Il me dit : C'est la malédiction qui va se répandre sur la face de toute la terre ; car tout voleur sera jugé par ce qui est écrit là, et quiconque jure (faussement) sera de même jugé d'après ce livre.
4 I will bring it forth, says the Lord of hosts, and it will approach to the house of the thief, and to the house of him who swears falsely by my name, and it will remain in the midst of his house and will consume it, with its wood and its stones.	4 Je le ferai sortir, dit le Seigneur des armées ; et il viendra dans la maison du voleur, et dans la maison de celui qui jure faussement en mon nom ; et il demeurera au milieu de cette maison, et il la consumera avec son bois et ses pierres.
5 And the angel had departed, who was speaking with me. And he said to me, “Lift up your eyes, and see what this is, that goes forth.”	5 Alors l'ange qui parlait en moi sortit, et me dit : Lève les yeux, et regarde ce qui sort là.
6 And I said, “What, then, is it?” And he said, “This is a container going forth.” And he said, “This is their eye in all the earth.”	6 Et je dis : Qu'est-ce ? Et il dit : C'est une amphore qui sort. Et il ajouta : C'est là leurœil dans toute la terre.
7 And behold, a talent of lead was being carried; and behold, one woman sitting in the middle of the container.	7 Et voici, on portait une masse de plomb, et il y avait une femme assise au milieu de l'amphore.
8 And he said, “This is impiety.” And he cast her into the middle of the container, and he sent the weight of lead into its mouth.	8 Et il dit : C'est là l'impiété. Et il la jeta (renversa) au milieu de l'amphore, et il mit la masse de plomb sur l'ouverture.
9 And I lifted up my eyes and I saw. And behold, two women were departing, and a spirit was in their wings, and they had wings like the wings of a kite, and they lifted up the container between earth and heaven.	9 Je levai les yeux et je regardai ; et voici, deux femmes parurent, et le vent soufflait dans leurs ailes, et elles avaient des ailes semblables à celles d'un milan, et elles élevèrent l'amphore entre la terre et le ciel.
10 And I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the container?”	10 Je dis à l'ange qui parlait en moi : Où ces femmes portent-elles l'amphore ?
11 And he said to me, “To a house that may be built for it in the land of Shinar, and so that it may be established and set there upon its own base.”	11 Il me dit : Dans le pays de Sennaar, afin qu'on lui bâtisse une maison, et qu'elle y soit placée et affermie sur sa base.
