Zechariah 5

1 And I turned and lifted up my eyes. And I saw, and behold, a book flying.	1 Alzai di nuovo gli occhi e guardai: ecco un rotolo che volava.
2 And he said to me, “What do you see?” And I said, “I see a book flying. Its length is twenty cubits, and its width is ten cubits.”	2 L'angelo mi domandò: "Che vedi?". Io risposi: "Vedo un rotolo che vola; la sua lunghezza è di venti palmi e la sua larghezza di dieci".
3 And he said to me, “This is the curse that goes forth over the face of the whole earth. For every thief will be judged, just as it has been written there, and everyone who swears by this, will be judged in like manner.”	3 Egli mi spiegò: "Questa è la maledizione che si diffonde sopra tutto il paese! Perché ogni ladro sarà spazzato via di qui come quel rotolo, e ogni spergiuro sarà spazzato via di qui come quel rotolo.
4 I will bring it forth, says the Lord of hosts, and it will approach to the house of the thief, and to the house of him who swears falsely by my name, and it will remain in the midst of his house and will consume it, with its wood and its stones.	4 Io scatenerò la maledizione, oracolo del Signore degli eserciti, ed essa entrerà nella casa del ladro e nella casa di chi giura il falso nel mio nome; alloggerà in quella casa e la distruggerà con le travi e le pietre!".
5 And the angel had departed, who was speaking with me. And he said to me, “Lift up your eyes, and see what this is, that goes forth.”	5 L'angelo che mi parlava si avvicinò e mi disse: "Orsù! Alza gli occhi e guarda! Che è ciò che si avvicina?".
6 And I said, “What, then, is it?” And he said, “This is a container going forth.” And he said, “This is their eye in all the earth.”	6 Risposi: "Che cos'è quello?". Mi rispose: "Questa è l'efa che si avvicina". Poi soggiunse: "Questo è il loro peccato in tutto il territorio!".
7 And behold, a talent of lead was being carried; and behold, one woman sitting in the middle of the container.	7 Allora un disco di piombo si sollevò ed ecco una donna sola seduta dentro l'efa.
8 And he said, “This is impiety.” And he cast her into the middle of the container, and he sent the weight of lead into its mouth.	8 Egli disse: "Questa è l'iniquità!". La ricacciò dentro l'efa e rimise il coperchio di piombo sopra l'apertura.
9 And I lifted up my eyes and I saw. And behold, two women were departing, and a spirit was in their wings, and they had wings like the wings of a kite, and they lifted up the container between earth and heaven.	9 Alzai gli occhi e guardai. Ecco due donne si avvicinavano; esse avevano il vento alle ali e le loro ali erano come le ali della cicogna. Esse sollevarono l'efa tra il cielo e la terra.
10 And I said to the angel who was speaking with me, “Where are they taking the container?”	10 Domandai all'angelo che mi parlava: "Dove portano l'efa, costoro?".
11 And he said to me, “To a house that may be built for it in the land of Shinar, and so that it may be established and set there upon its own base.”	11 Mi rispose: "A costruirle una dimora nella terra di Sennaar. Fisseranno un piedistallo e la collocheranno sopra il suo piedistallo".
