Hosea 3

1 And the Lord said to me: “Go yet again, and love a woman, beloved by a friend, yet an adulteress, for so does the Lord love the sons of Israel, yet they look to strange gods, and love the seeds of grapes.”	1 Il Signore mi disse: "Va' di nuovo, ama la donna amata da suo marito, benché adultera, come il Signore ama i figli d'Israele, benché essi si volgano verso altri dèi e amino le schiacciate di uve passe!".
2 And I contracted her to me for fifteen silver coins, and for a basket of barley, and half a basket of barley.	2 Io dunque me la comprai con quindici pezzi d'argento, una misura e mezza di orzo.
3 And I said to her, “You will wait for me for many days. You will not commit fornication, and you will not be with a man. But I also will wait for you.”	3 Io le dissi: "Per un lungo periodo rimarrai al tuo posto con me, non ti prostituirai e non sarai di un altro e neppure io verrò da te!".
4 For the sons of Israel will sit for many days without a king, and without a leader, and without sacrifice, and without altar, and without priestly vestments, and without religious symbols.	4 Perché per un lungo periodo i figli d'Israele saranno senza re e senza principe, senza sacrificio e senza stele, senza efod e senza terafim.
5 And after this, the sons of Israel will return, and they will seek the Lord their God and David their king, and they will be terrified by the Lord and by his goodness, in the last days.	5 Dopo ciò i figli d'Israele si convertiranno, cercheranno il Signore loro Dio e Davide loro re; trepidanti accorreranno al Signore e ai suoi beni nei giorni avvenire.
