1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Господь сказав Мойсеєві:
2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: I am the Lord your God.	2 «Промов до синів Ізраїля і скажи їм: Я — Господь, Бог ваш.
3 You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.	3 Не робіть так, як робиться в Єгипетській землі, де ви жили, і як водиться в Ханаан-землі, куди вас веду, не робіть, і за їхніми законами не живіть.
4 You shall accomplish my judgments, and you shall observe my precepts, and you shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.	4 Мої веління виконуйте й мої закони пильнуйте, щоб згідно з ними чинити: я Господь-Бог ваш.
5 Keep my laws and judgments; when a man does these, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.	5 Тож пильнуйте мої закони і мої ухвали; а тому, хто їх виконує, дають життя. Я — Господь!
6 No man shall approach her who is a close blood-relative to him, so as to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.	6 Ніхто нехай не наближається ні до якої близької родички, щоб відкрити наготу її: Я — Господь.
7 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.	7 Ні батька свого, ані матері своєї наготи не відкриватимеш; вона мати твоя, наготи її не смієш відкривати.
8 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your father.	8 Наготи жінки батька твого не відкриватимеш: то батька твого нагота.
9 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, whether from father or from mother, whether she was born at home or abroad.	9 Наготи твоєї сестри, дочки твого батька, або дочки твоєї матері, що народилась удома чи поза ним, — не відкриватимеш їхньої наготи.
10 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or your daughter’s daughter; for it is your own nakedness.	10 Ти не будеш відкривати наготи дочки твого сина або дочки твоєї дочки, бо це нагота твоя.
11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, whom she bore to your father, and who is your sister.	11 Наготи дочки твоєї мачухи, що народилась від твого батька, та вона ж тобі сестра, — не відкриватимеш.
12 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s sister; for she is the flesh of your father.	12 Наготи сестри твого батька не відкриватимеш; вона родичка батька твого.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, because she is the flesh of your mother.	13 Наготи сестри матері твоєї не відкриватимеш, бо вона родичка матері твоєї.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, nor shall you approach his wife, who is joined to you by affinity.	14 Наготи брата батька твого не відкриватимеш, тобто до жінки його не смієш наближатися: вона тітка тобі.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son’s wife; neither shall you expose her dishonor.	15 Наготи невістки твоєї не відкриватимеш: вона жінка сина твого, не відкриватимеш наготи її.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your brother.	16 Наготи жінки брата твого не відкриватимеш: це нагота брата твого.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your wife and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, so as to uncover her dishonor; for they are her flesh, and such sexual intercourse is incest.	17 Наготи молодиці й дочки її не відкриватимеш; дочки в сина її ї дочки в її дочки не братимеш, щоб відкривати наготу її: вони родички твої; це було б кровозмішання.
18 You shall not take your wife’s sister as a rival mistress; nor shall you uncover her nakedness, while your wife is still living.	18 Не братимеш собі жінчиної сестри за жінку як наложницю, щоб із нею мати зносини за життя жінки, відкриваючи її наготу, побіч наготи жінки твоєї за життя її.
19 You shall not approach a woman who is undergoing menstruation, nor shall you uncover her foulness.	19 Ні до якої жінки під час її місячної нечистоти не наближатимешся, щоб відкрити наготу її.
20 You shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, nor shall you be defiled by the mingling of seed.	20 З жінкою ближнього твого не сходитимешся, щоб не осквернитися з нею.
21 You shall not give some of your seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor to pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.	21 Нікого з потомства твого не даси в жертву на вогні Молохові, і не сквернитимеш імени Бога твого: я — Господь!
22 You shall not commit sexual acts with a male, in place of sexual intercourse with a female, for this is an abomination.	22 З чоловіком не сходитимешся, як сходишся з жінкою: це гидота.
23 You shall not commit sexual acts with any animal, nor shall you be defiled by it. A woman shall not lie down with a beast, nor commit sexual acts with it; for this is wickedness.	23 Ні з ніякою скотиною не зійдешся, щоб не осквернитися з нею; молодиця нехай не стає перед скотиною, щоб спаруватися: це огида.
24 Do not pollute yourselves with any of these things, by which all of the nations, which I will cast out in your sight, have been contaminated	24 Не скверніться нічим цим; бо тим усім осквернилися народи, що оце виганяю з-перед вас.
25 and by which the land has been polluted. I will visit the wickedness of the land, so that it may vomit out its inhabitants.	25 І як осквернилася земля, я покарав її за її провину, й вона виблювала своїх мешканців.
26 Keep my ordinances and judgments, and do not do any of these abominations: the native born, as well as the settler, who sojourns among you.	26 Ви ж пильнуйте моїх законів і моїх присудів, і не чиніть ніякої з отих гидот, — ні тубільці, ні приходні, що перебувають серед вас;
27 For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.	27 усі бо оті гидоти чинили люди цієї землі, що були перед вами, і земля осквернилась.
28 Therefore, beware, lest in a similar manner, it may vomit you out as well, if you do these same things, just as it vomited out the people who were before you.	28 І тим робом земля не виблює вас за те, що скверните її, як виблювала народи, що були перед вами.
29 Every soul who shall commit any of these abominations shall perish from the midst of his people.	29 Кожен бо, хто допуститься якоїсь із тих гидот, — кожен такий буде викорінений з-поміж людей своїх.
30 Keep my commandments. Do not be willing to do the things which have been done by those who were before you, and do not be polluted by these things. I am the Lord your God.	30 Тож допильновуйте моїх заповідей, щоб не виконували якогось з отих мерзенних звичаїв та щоб не осквернились ними: я — Господь, Бог ваш.»
