Leviticus 18

1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:	1 Parlò Iddio a Moisè, e dissegli:
2 Speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them: I am the Lord your God.	2 Parla a' figliuoli d'Israel, e dirai loro: io sono Iddio vostro.
3 You shall not act according to the custom of the land of Egypt, in which you have lived; nor shall you behave according to the habit of the region of Canaan, into which I will lead you; neither shall you walk in their ordinances.	3 Secondo la consuetudine della terra d'Egitto, dove voi abitaste, non farete; e secondo i costumi di Canaan, alla quale contrada vi menerò, non fa rete; nè viverete secondo le loro leggi.
4 You shall accomplish my judgments, and you shall observe my precepts, and you shall walk in them. I am the Lord your God.	4 Farete li miei giudicii, e li miei comandamenti osserverete, e anderete per quegli. Io son lo Iddio vostro.
5 Keep my laws and judgments; when a man does these, he shall live by them. I am the Lord.	5 Guarderete le mie leggi e le mie sentenze; e chi lo farà, viverà in esse. Io sono Iddio.
6 No man shall approach her who is a close blood-relative to him, so as to uncover her nakedness. I am the Lord.	6 Niuno uomo toccherà la femina che gli sia parente, per rivelare la sua bruttura. Imperciò che io sono Iddio.
7 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father, or the nakedness of your mother. She is your mother; you shall not uncover her nakedness.	7 La sozzezza del padre tuo e della madre tua, non la rivelare; perciò che lei è tua madre; non discoprire la sua vergogna.
8 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your father.	8 La bruttura della moglie di tuo padre, non la rivelare; però che è vergogna del padre tuo.
9 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your sister, whether from father or from mother, whether she was born at home or abroad.	9 E la sozzura della tua sorella, o di padre o di madre, non rivelare, o di fuori di casa o dentro che sia generata.
10 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your son’s daughter, or your daughter’s daughter; for it is your own nakedness.	10 E la sozzura della figliuola del tuo figliuolo, ovvero del tuo nepote, non la rivelare; perchè la vergogna è tua.
11 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s wife’s daughter, whom she bore to your father, and who is your sister.	11 E la sozzura della figliuola della moglie del padre tuo, la quale hae avuta del padre tuo, non rivelare; però ch' è tua sorella.
12 You shall not expose the nakedness of your father’s sister; for she is the flesh of your father.	12 La sozzura della sorella del padre tuo, non la rivelare; però che è carne del tuo padre.
13 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your mother’s sister, because she is the flesh of your mother.	13 La sozzura della sorella di tua madre, non la rivelare; però ch' è carne della tua madre.
14 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your father’s brother, nor shall you approach his wife, who is joined to you by affinity.	14 E la sozzura del fratello del tuo padre non rivelare; e non andare alla moglie sua, la quale t'è congiunta per affinitate.
15 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your daughter-in-law, for she is your son’s wife; neither shall you expose her dishonor.	15 La sozzezza della tua nuora non rivelare; però ch' ella si è moglie del tuo figliuolo; e non discoprire la sua ignominia.
16 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your brother’s wife; for it is the nakedness of your brother.	16 (E la moglie del suo fratello niuno la pigli). E la sozzezza della moglie del tuo fratello non rivelare; però che la vergogna è del tuo fratello.
17 You shall not uncover the nakedness of your wife and her daughter. You shall not take her son’s daughter or her daughter’s daughter, so as to uncover her dishonor; for they are her flesh, and such sexual intercourse is incest.	17 E la sozzezza della moglie tua e della sua figliuola non rivelare. E la figliuola del suo figliuolo, e la figliuola della sua figliuola non la torrai; però che tu riveleresti la sua vergogua; però che le sono carne di quella; però che quello conoscimento sa rebbe incesto (e non lecito).
18 You shall not take your wife’s sister as a rival mistress; nor shall you uncover her nakedness, while your wife is still living.	18 La sorella della moglie tua, non la torrai in uso meretricario; e la sua vergogna non manife sterai, insino che lei vive.
19 You shall not approach a woman who is undergoing menstruation, nor shall you uncover her foulness.	19 Alla femina che hae il mestruo non andrai, e non rivelerai il spuzzo suo.
20 You shall not have sexual intercourse with your neighbor’s wife, nor shall you be defiled by the mingling of seed.	20 E colla moglie del prossimo tuo non giacerai; non la macolerai di commistione di seme.
21 You shall not give some of your seed to be consecrated to the idol Moloch, nor to pollute the name of your God. I am the Lord.	21 Della tua generazione non darai, che sia consacrato all'idolo Moloc, e non farai beffe del nome dello Iddio tuo. Io son lo Signore.
22 You shall not commit sexual acts with a male, in place of sexual intercourse with a female, for this is an abomination.	22 Con maschio non avrai conoscimento per coito femineo; però che l'è molto abbominevole (appo Iddio tuo).
23 You shall not commit sexual acts with any animal, nor shall you be defiled by it. A woman shall not lie down with a beast, nor commit sexual acts with it; for this is wickedness.	23 Con bestia niuna non avrai conoscimento (perciò ch' è scellerazione), e non abbiate polluzione con loro. Nulla femina si sottometta alla bestia, nè abbi seco conoscimento; però ch' è scellerazione.
24 Do not pollute yourselves with any of these things, by which all of the nations, which I will cast out in your sight, have been contaminated	24 E non vi contaminate in queste cose, come sogliono fare l'altre genti, le quali io caccerò del vostro cospetto,
25 and by which the land has been polluted. I will visit the wickedness of the land, so that it may vomit out its inhabitants.	25 e da cui la terra è infastigiata; e io visiterò i loro peccati, acciò che lei cacci li suoi abitatori.
26 Keep my ordinances and judgments, and do not do any of these abominations: the native born, as well as the settler, who sojourns among you.	26 (Guardate e) osservate la legge mia, e non fate niuna di queste abbominazioni, così lo terrazzano come lo forestiere, li quali sono fra di voi.
27 For all these detestable things were done by the inhabitants of the land who were here before you, and they have polluted it.	27 Guardatevi che non facciate come hanno fatto quelli che sono stati innanzi a voi, i quali ado peravano queste operazioni, e corromperono la terra.
28 Therefore, beware, lest in a similar manner, it may vomit you out as well, if you do these same things, just as it vomited out the people who were before you.	28 Però che così come loro furono dispersi, e così sarà fatto a voi.
29 Every soul who shall commit any of these abominations shall perish from the midst of his people.	29 Ogni anima che farà alcuna di queste abbo minazioni, perirà di mezzo del popolo suo.
30 Keep my commandments. Do not be willing to do the things which have been done by those who were before you, and do not be polluted by these things. I am the Lord your God.	30 Guardate i miei comandamenti, e non fate come coloro che sono andati innanzi a voi, acciò che voi non periate come hanno fatto loro; perciò che io son Iddio vostro (onnipotente).
