1 A Prayer of David himself. Incline your ear, O Lord, and hear me. For I am needy and poor.	1 Súplica. De Davide. inclina, Senhor, o teu ouvido, ouve-me porque eu sou desvalido e pobre.
2 Preserve my soul, for I am holy. My God, bring salvation to your servant who hopes in you.	2 Guarda a minha alma, porque te sou dedicado; salva o teu servo, que espera em ti. Tu és o meu Deus:
3 O Lord, be merciful to me, for I have cried out to you all day long.	3 tem misericórdia de mim, porque a ti clamo sem cessar.
4 Give joy to the soul of your servant, for I have lifted up my soul to you, Lord.	4 Alegra a alma do teu servo, porque a ti, Senhor, elevo a minha alma.
5 For you are sweet and mild, Lord, and plentiful in mercy to all who call upon you.	5 Em verdade, Senhor, és bom e clemente, cheio de misericórdia para todos os que te invocam.
6 Pay attention, Lord, to my prayer, and attend to the voice of my supplication.	6 Presta ouvidos, Senhor, à minha oração, atende à voz da minha súplica.
7 In the day of my tribulation, I cried out to you, because you heeded me.	7 No dia da minha tribulação clamo a ti, porque me ouvirás.
8 There is no one like you among the gods, O Lord, and there is no one like you in your works.	8 Não há semelhante a ti entre os deuses, ó Senhor; nem há obra que á tua obra se compare:
9 All the nations, which you have made, will draw near and adore in your presence, O Lord. And they will glorify your name.	9 Todas as nações que fizeste, virão e te adorarão, Senhor, e glorificarão o teu nome.
10 For you are great, and you perform wonders. You alone are God.	10 Porque tu és grande e operas maravilhas: só tu és Deus.
11 Lead me, O Lord, in your way, and I will walk in your truth. May my heart rejoice, so that it will fear your name.	11 Ensina-me, Senhor, o teu caminho, para que eu ande na tua verdade; dirige o meu coração para que tema o teu nome.
12 I will confess to you, O Lord my God, with my whole heart. And I will glorify your name in eternity.	12 Louvar-te-ei, Senhor Deus meu, com todo o meu coração, glorificarei o teu nome eternamente,
13 For your mercy toward me is great, and you have rescued my soul from the lower part of Hell.	13 porque a tua misericórdia foi grande para comigo, e livraste a minha alma do profundo dos infernos.
14 O God, the iniquitous have risen up against me, and the synagogue of the powerful have sought my soul, and they have not placed you in their sight.	14 Ó Deus, levantaram-se contra mim, homens soberbos, e um tropel de poderosos atenta contra a minha vida, sem que te tenham presente diante dos seus olhos.
15 And you, Lord God, are compassionate and merciful, being patient and full of mercy and truthful.	15 Mas tu és, Senhor, Deus misericordioso e benigno, lento para a ira, cheio de clemência e de fidelidade.
16 Look down upon me and have mercy on me. Grant your authority to your servant, and bring salvation to the son of your handmaid.	16 Põe os olhos em mim, tem piedade de mim, dá o teu poder ao teu servo, e salva o filho da tua escrava.
17 Make me a sign of what is good, so that those who hate me, may look and be confounded. For you, O Lord, have helped me and consoled me.	17 Dá-me um sinal do teu favor, para que vejam aqueles que me odeiam, para sua confusão, que tu, Senhor, me tens socorrido e consolado.
