Psalms 114

1 Alleluia. I have loved: therefore, the Lord will heed the voice of my prayer.	1 Alleluia: lodate Dio. HO amato, perché esaudirà il Signore la voce della mia orazione;
2 For he has inclined his ear to me. And in my days, I will call upon him.	2 Perocché egli le sue orecchie chinò a udirmi: ed io ne' miei giorni lo invocherò.
3 The sorrows of death have surrounded me, and the perils of Hell have found me. I have found tribulation and sorrow.	3 Mi circondarono dolori di morte: pericoli di inferno mi investirono.
4 And so, I called upon the name of the Lord. O Lord, free my soul.	4 Trovai tribolazione, e affanno: e il nome del Signore invocai.
5 Merciful is the Lord, and just. And our God is compassionate.	5 Libera, o Signore, l'anima mia: il Signore è misericordioso, e giusto, e il nostro Dio è benigno.
6 The Lord is the keeper of little ones. I was humbled, and he freed me.	6 Il Signore custodisce i piccolini: fui umiliato, ed egli mi liberò.
7 Turn again, my soul, to your rest. For the Lord has done good to you.	7 Torna, o anima mia nella tua requie: perocché il Signore ti ha fatto del bene.
8 For he has rescued my soul from death, my eyes from tears, my feet from slipping.	8 Imperocché egli ha sottratta l'anima mia alla morte; gli occhi miei alle lagrime, i miei piedi alle cadute.
9 I will please the Lord in the land of the living.	9 Sarò accetto al Signore nella regione de' viventi.
