¹ Alleluia. I will confess to you, O Lord, with my whole heart, in the council of the just and in the congregation.	¹ Von David, ein Psalm.So lautet der Ausspruch des HERRN an meinen Herrn: »Setze dich zu meiner Rechten,bis ich deine Feinde hinlegezum Schemel für deine Füße!«
² Great are the works of the Lord, exquisite in all his intentions.	² Dein machtvolles Zepter wird der HERR von Zion hinausstrecken:herrsche inmitten deiner Feinde!
³ Confession and magnificence are his work. And his justice remains from age to age.	³ Dein Volk wird voller Willigkeit seinam Tage deines Heereszuges;in heiligem Schmuck, wie aus des Frührots Schoß der Tau,wird dir kommen deine junge Mannschaft.
⁴ He has created a memorial to his wonders; he is a merciful and compassionate Lord.	⁴ Geschworen hat der HERRund wird sich’s nicht leid sein lassen: »Du sollst ein Priester in Ewigkeit seinnach der Weise Melchisedeks.« (1.Mose 14,18-20)
⁵ He has given food to those who fear him. He will be mindful of his covenant in every age.	⁵ Der Allherr, der dir zur Rechten steht,wird Könige zerschmettern am Tage seines Zorns;
⁶ He will announce the virtue of his works to his people,	⁶ Gericht wird er unter den Völkern halten, füllt alles mit Leichen an,zerschmettert ein Haupt (oder: Häupter) auf weitem Gefilde.
⁷ so that he may give them the inheritance of the nations. The works of his hands are truth and judgment.	⁷ Aus dem Bach am Wege wird er trinken;darum wird er das Haupt hoch halten.
⁸ All his commands are faithful: confirmed from age to age, created in truth and fairness.
⁹ He has sent redemption upon his people. He has commanded his covenant for all eternity. Holy and terrible is his name.
¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. A good understanding is for all who do it. His praise remains from age to age.
