1 Masters, make sure that your slaves are given what is upright and fair, knowing that you too have aMaster in heaven.	1 Padroni, date ai servi il giusto e l'onesto, sapendo che anche voi avete un padrone in cielo.
2 Be persevering in your prayers and be thankful as you stay awake to pray.	2 Perseverate nella preghiera e vegliate in essa con riconoscenza;
3 Pray for us especial y, asking God to throw open a door for us to announce the message and proclaimthe mystery of Christ, for the sake of which I am in chains;	3 pregate anche per noi, affinché Dio ci apra una porta alla parola, per predicare il mistero del Cristo, a causa del quale sono prigioniero,
4 pray that I may proclaim it as clearly as I ought.	4 in modo che lo manifesti predicando come si conviene.
5 Act wisely with outsiders, making the best of the present time.	5 Comportatevi saggiamente con gli estranei cogliendo le occasioni opportune.
6 Always talk pleasantly and with a flavour of wit but be sensitive to the kind of answer each one requires.	6 Il vostro discorso sia sempre pieno di grazia, condito con sale, in modo da saper come rispondere a ciascuno.
