1 Moses told the Israelites exactly what Yahweh had ordered him.	1 Mosè riferì ai figli d'Israele tutte le cose che il Signore gli aveva comandate,
2 Moses spoke to the tribal leaders of the Israelites and said, 'This is what Yahweh has ordered:	2 poi disse ai principi delle tribù dei figli d'Israele: « Ecco quanto il Signore ha comandato:
3 "If a man makes a vow to Yahweh or a formal pledge under oath, he must not break his word:whatever he promises by word of mouth he must do.	3 Quando uno fa un voto al Signore, o si obbliga con giuramento, non deve mancar alla parola, ma adempire tutto quello che ha promesso.
4 "If a woman makes a vow to Yahweh or a formal pledge during her youth, while she is stil in her father's house,	4 Quando una donna che è ancora in giovane età e sta nella casa di suo padre avrà fatto un voto e si sarà obbligata con giuramento,
5 and if her father hears about this vow or pledge made by her and says nothing to her, her vow,whatever it may be, will be binding, and the pledge she has taken, whatever it may be, will be binding.	5 e il padre, saputo il voto da lei fatto e il giuramento con cui s'è obbligata, non ha detto nulla, essa obbligata al suo voto, se dovrà eseguire tutto ciò che promise o giurò di fare;
6 But if her father on the day he learns of it expresses his disapproval of it, then none of the vows orpledges she has taken wil be binding. Yahweh will not hold her to it, since her father has expressed hisdisapproval.	6 ma se il padre si e opposto appena l'ha saputo, saranno nulli i suoi voti e i suoi giuramenti, e non sara tenuta a fare quanto ha promesso, perchè il padre s'è opposto.
7 "If, being bound by vows or by a pledge voiced without due reflection, she then marries,	7 Se essa poi ha marito, e, avendo lauto voto di qualche cosa, con una parola, uscita una volta, dalla sua bocca ha impegnata con giuramento l'anima sua,
8 and if her husband hears of it but says nothing on the day he learns of it, her vows wil be binding andthe pledges she has taken will be binding.	8 se il marito, nel giorno in cui ne viene a conoscenza, non si oppone, essa sarà obbligata al voto e dovrà fare tutto quello che ha promesso.
9 But if on the day he learns of it he expresses his disapproval to her, this wil annul the vow that shehas made or the pledge that binds her, voiced without due reflection. Yahweh wil not hold her to it.	9 Ma se il marito, appena ne è informato, si oppone ed annulla le promesse e le parole con cui si era obbligata, il Signore le perdonerà.
10 "The vow of a widow or a divorced woman and al pledges taken by her are binding on her.	10 La vedova e la ripudiata adempiranno tutto quello di cui han fatto voto e
11 "If she has made a vow or taken a pledge under oath while in her husband's house,	11 Se la moglie nella casa coniugale si obbliga con voto e con giuramento,
12 and if when the husband learns of it he says nothing to her and does not express disapproval to her,then the vow, whatever it is, wil be binding, and the pledge, whatever it is, will be binding.	12 il marito, venutone a conoscenza, non si oppone alla promessa di lei, essa farà quanto ha promesso;
13 But if the husband when he hears of it annuls it on the day he learns of it, no undertaking of hers, beit vow or pledge, will be binding. Since the husband has annul ed it, Yahweh wil not hold her to it.	13 invece, se egli esubito si oppone, essa non sarà tenuta ad eseguir la promessa; siccome il mrito s'è opposto, il Signore le perdnerà.
14 "Every vow or oath that is binding on the wife may be endorsed or annul ed by the husband.	14 Se ha fatto voto e si è obbligata ad affliggere l'anima sua col digiuno con altre astinenze, deciderà il marito se essa deve fare o no quelle cose;
15 "If by the fol owing day the husband has said nothing to her, it means that he endorses her vow,whatever it may be, or her pledge, whatever it may be. He endorses them if he says nothing on the day helearns of them.	15 ma se il marito quando lo viene a sapere sta zitto, e fino al giorno dopo non decide, essa farà tutto quello che ha promesso con voto, perchè egli quando seppe non disse nulla.
16 But if, having learnt of them, he annuls them later, he wil bear the consequences for his wife's guilt."'	16 Ma se marito si oppone dopo che l'ha saputo porterà l'iniquità di lei.
17 Such were the laws which Yahweh prescribed to Moses, concerning the relationship between a manand his wife, and between a father and his daughter while stil young and living in her father's home.	17 Tali son le leggi che il Signore prescrisse a Mosè riguardo al marito e alla moglie, al padre e alla figlia che è ancora ragazza e a quella che resta nella casa paterna ».
